TANCHJIM Luna USB DAC/Amp Review
A portable USB DAC/amp with two CS43198 chips and switchable Class AB and Class H amplification, listed from $129.99 for the Standard version and $198 for the Asano Tanch edition. The page gives up to 285mW at 32Ω. It suits buyers who want selectable amp modes and two-level gain.

Our verdict
A fit for buyers who want switchable Class AB and Class H modes and a power figure with its load on a dual-CS43198 unit, from $129.99. Look elsewhere if you need one consistent PCM figure, a weight or an outside measurement. The Asano Tanch version at $198 is described in the page text only as a different chassis pattern, app interface and packaging, not as a change in the listed figures.
- Best for
- Buyers who want switchable amp modes and a two-level gain setting on a dual-CS43198 USB DAC/amp.
- Skip if
- You need a weight, a consistent PCM limit or independent measurements.
Why 3.4/5: Held back by the lack of a specification list as text, by store terms that contradict each other, and by every figure being the store's own, with no independent test checked for this review.

Options and pricing
Two versions are listed and both were orderable when the page was read: Luna-Standard Version at $129.99 and Luna-AsanoTanch at $198. The page says the Asano Tanch limited edition has a floral and silver sword pattern engraved on the chassis, echoed in the app interface and packaging, and the page text does not say whether the electronics differ. A single-crystal copper silver-plated Type-C connector cable is listed among the features; the page text does not say which version includes it.
How it compares
The SHANLING ONIX XI1 Dual CS43198 + SGM8262 Portable DAC& at $119.99 and the TANCHJIM Space Pro Dual CS43198 Portable USB DAC/AMP from $145.20 also name dual CS43198 chips, against the Luna's $129.99 start. The Tanchjim Space II Dual CS43131 USB Portable DAC & AMP is $114.80 with dual CS43131 instead. The Luna suits buyers who want switchable amp modes and a limited-edition design option; the Space II suits a tighter budget.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Two CS43198 DAC chips with native DSD256 listed
- Switchable Class AB and Class H amplification plus two-level gain, per the page
- 285mW at 32Ω is stated with its load, with 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs
- Two versions at stated prices: Standard $129.99 and Asano Tanch $198
- An independent amp power supply with up to 250mA current output is listed
Worth noting
- The PCM limit appears as 32-Bit/758kHz in the feature list and 32-Bit/768kHz in the text
- No specification list as text: the page text gives no weight, dimensions or output voltage per port
- The page text does not say whether the Asano Tanch edition differs electrically from the Standard, or how many are made
- The page text names no port or load for the 2VRMS maximum output level
Questions before you buy
What is the difference between the Luna Standard and Asano Tanch versions?
The page describes the Asano Tanch limited edition as having a floral and silver sword pattern engraved on the chassis, with the same design reflected in the app interface and packaging. It lists the Standard at $129.99 and the Asano Tanch at $198 and the page text gives no electrical difference.
What do the Class AB and Class H modes do?
Per the page the Luna has switchable Class AB and Class H amplification. It says Class AB gives steadier power with higher current, while Class H is more efficient and better for low-power output.
Which PCM sample rate does the Luna support?
The page gives 32-Bit/768kHz in the text and 32-Bit/758kHz in the feature list, so the exact limit is unclear. DSD is listed as native DSD256.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- The feature list gives PCM 32-Bit/758kHz while the text gives 32-Bit/768kHz; the page text names no port or load for the 2VRMS maximum output level.
- Distortion as low as 0.000139% and SNR and DNR of about 132dB come with no measurement conditions in the page text; 'almost zero noise floor' is a claim with no figure given there.
- The page text does not say whether the Asano Tanch edition differs electrically from the Standard, how many are made, or what is in the box.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
