Our verdict

A fit for a buyer who wants balanced 4.4mm and XLR-4 headphone outputs, Bluetooth 5.1 and a choice of plug in one unit at $499.99. Look elsewhere if you need a frequency-response or low-distortion figure, which the pictured basic-specification table does not give, or a figure checked outside the store's page. The main caveat is that every specification figure sits in pictures, with power quoted at THD+N under 1%.

Why 3.3/5: Held back by a page that gives no specification list as text and leaves its claims in pictures, by the store's own terms that contradict each other, and by no independent test being checked for this review: every figure is the store's own.

The FiiO K9 is listed at $499.99 with a choice of EU, US, UK or AU plug. Options and pricing

Four options are listed at $499.99 each and were orderable when the page was read: K9-EU Plug, K9-US Plug, K9-UK Plug and K9-AU Plug. The names differ by plug only. A pictured in-the-box list names a K9, a power cord, a headphone plug adapter, a USB data cable, six feet pads, a fuse, a stand, a quick start guide and a voltage selection card, and the rear inlet is labelled AC 100-120V~/220-240V~.

How it compares

At $499.99 the K9 is listed above the FiiO K13 ES9039Q2M*2 DAC and Headphone Amplifier at $309.99 and the FiiO WARMER R2R Fully Balanced Desktop DAC & Headphone Amp at $349.99, and below the xDuoo TA32 ROHM BD34301 DAC&Tube Balance Headphone Amplifier at $999. Those titles name ES9039Q2M, an R2R design and a ROHM BD34301 DAC with a tube stage, while the K9's title names THX AAA and Bluetooth 5.1. Pick the K9 if THX AAA, Bluetooth 5.1 and balanced headphone outputs are the draw, or the K13 or WARMER R2R if the lower price matters more.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

FiiO's own notice "A letter to FiiO fans" (undated) lists HiFiGo among sellers it has not authorized and recommends buying FiiO products from local agents. FiiO says it still services genuine products bought from such sellers if the buyer emails [email protected], but the buyer pays the freight and duties if a unit must go back to China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Three headphone outputs per the pictures: 6.35mm single-ended plus 4.4mm and XLR-4 balanced
  • A pictured table gives at least 2000mW+2000mW at 32Ω and 780mW+780mW at 300Ω, both balanced and at THD+N under 1%
  • Five input signals per the pictures: USB, optical, coaxial, line (RCA and 4.4mm) and Bluetooth
  • Bluetooth 5.1 on a QCC5124 chip, with LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, aptX LL, AAC and SBC listed in a pictured table
  • Pictures list sample rates up to 768kHz/32bit PCM and DSD512, and say UAC1.0 and UAC2.0 are switchable in the FiiO Control App
  • A pictured in-the-box list names a stand, a headphone plug adapter, a USB data cable and a power cord, among other items

Worth noting

  • The pictured basic-specification table gives no frequency response or THD+N figure; power is quoted at THD+N under 1%
  • A picture footnote says pictures are for reference only and the actual product may vary
  • The specification figures come from pictures; the page has no text version of the specifications
  • A warning sheet about the built-in linear power supply and voltages is mostly hidden in the in-the-box picture, so its text cannot be read

Questions before you buy

Which headphone outputs does the K9 list?

The pictures list a 6.35mm single-ended output, a 4.4mm balanced output and an XLR-4 balanced output on the front panel, plus RCA and XLR line outputs on the rear.

How much power does it list, and at what load?

A pictured table gives at least 2000mW+2000mW at 32Ω balanced and at least 780mW+780mW at 300Ω balanced, both at THD+N under 1%, with an output impedance under 1Ω at a 32Ω load. A picture claims 1% undistorted power output up to 780mW at 300Ω and up to 2000mW at 32Ω.

Which Bluetooth chip and codecs does it list?

A QCC5124 chip with Bluetooth 5.1. The pictured table lists LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, aptX LL, AAC and SBC.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The pictures carry Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless logos and design claims (truly balanced design, six-stage audio circuit, dual-mode clock management 'with the greatest fidelity'); these are the page's own claims.
  • A bilingual warning sheet about the built-in linear power supply and voltages is mostly hidden behind the product in the in-the-box picture and could not be read; a footnote says pictures are for reference only and the actual product may vary.
  • Power is quoted at THD+N under 1%: the table says at least 2000mW+2000mW at 32Ω, while a picture says up to 2000mW. The basic-specification table gives no frequency response or THD+N figure; many text and diagram panels among the 28 pictures were not opened for this review.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
  • FiiO's undated seller notice lists HiFiGo as an unauthorized seller; FiiO says it still services genuine units, with freight and duties paid by the buyer.
