PROTOUR M920 City Electric Bike Review

An €899 e-bike (€1,099 crossed out) for riders who can live with thin data: the page states a 250W motor, 25 km/h and a 40-60 km range, and the photos show a suspension fork, disc brakes and a rear derailleur, but no battery capacity, weight or frame size is given.

Our verdict

The M920 may suit a rider who wants a mountain-bike-style e-bike with a suspension fork and gears for €899 and can work from a one-line specification and a manual. Anyone who needs the battery capacity, the weight or a size guide should ask the store first or look elsewhere, because neither the page nor the manual gives them. The main caveat is that most of the page's text describes a different bike, the Storck erde.2, so only the short catalog sentence, the photos and the manual speak for the M920.

Why 2.9/5: A one-line motor, speed and range statement, a manual with charge time and IP54, and 25 photos lift it; a long description written for another bike, no battery capacity, weight or frame size, store pages copied from Totem USA and no outside coverage hold it back.

Sold as a city e-bike, the PRO TOUR M920 shows a mountain-bike-style machine in its 25 photos: a down-tube battery, a front suspension fork, disc brakes, a rear derailleur and knobby tires. The page's own facts fit in one sentence, which states a 250W motor, a top speed of 25 km/h and a range of 40-60 kilometers, and a German and English user manual from April 2023 adds charge time and riding modes. The page's long description is the same text as on the store's own Storck Erde.2 page and does not describe this bike. The price is €899, with €1,099 crossed out.

Options and pricing

Four variants are offered: Red or Blue, each in a 27.5 inch or a 29 inch size (the page's option names are in Chinese). All four cost €899 and all four were in stock when the page was read on 2026-10-22. A 'Sale' tag sits beside the price, and the page shows a crossed-out price of €1,099. The photos show a black frame with blue accents, and the page does not say whether the size refers to the wheels or the frame, or which rider heights each size suits.

How it compares

The Storck Erde.2 City Electric Bike costs €2,399 and its page lists a 250W 60 Nm mid-drive, a 360 Wh battery, a 1-speed belt drive and a net 19kg; the M920 shares the 250W figure but gives no battery size or weight. The T-BIRD MIAMI Urban Electric Bike at €999 and the PROTOUR City 1.3 Urban Electric Bike at €1,199 show step-through frames with rear-rack batteries in their photos but have no specification at all, so the M920's short statement and manual give it more documentation than either.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Where it sells: the store's country selector lists 25 EU countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden), with prices in euros (a few countries in their own currency); there is no option for the US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Shipping: each product page says every order ships free by DHL or UPS, except to Cyprus and Malta, in 3 to 7 business days. The separate shipping policy page says something else: free shipping to the lower 48 US states, a flat fee for refused shipments, and 'Totem' as the company shipping by FedEx and USPS, with a Totem USA support address, so it is another company's text and cannot be relied on. Returns: product pages give 30 days in three cases (an unopened item with proof of purchase, a defective motor, battery or frame shown with photos or video, and a 'ride trial' return if the bike was ridden under 10 km and shows no wear), a prepaid label and a refund 3 days after inspection, and exclude used products, batteries, special orders and accidental damage. The return policy page says 30 days for unworn items in original packaging, adds that sale items cannot be returned, gives EU buyers a 14-day cooling-off right and still tells you to send returns to '[INSERT RETURN ADDRESS]', a template placeholder. Warranty: product pages show a '2-Year Warranty' label; the warranty policy page is the limited warranty of Totem USA LLC of McKinney, Texas, which covers US purchases only (frame for life, electronics 1 year) and names Totem bikes. Payment: the store's Klarna page offers monthly payments in 3, 6 or 12 installments.

Before you buy

The page shows no customer reviews. Company: the store's legal page names PRO TOUR BIKE at Aleea Zambilelor 28, Piatra Neamt, Romania, with business registration number 51300185, which we could not check against a registry. The About page says the bikes are 'Crafted in Czech' by three factories, and a page titled 'test' calls PROTOUR the flagship e-bike brand of Golden Wheel Group, active since 1987, with 258 tests per bike; no certificate or test report is linked. The domain was registered on 19 February 2025. Trustpilot has no profile for protourbike.com, and web searches on 22 October 2026 found no independent review of the store. The long description on the store's page for this bike is the Storck erde.2's, repeated on all five of the store's product pages, so none of its figures describe this bike. The review shows the code FACESTORE. A cart test on 22 October 2026, made without the affiliate link, took a fixed €300 off each of the five bikes, for example €899 down to €599 on the M920 and €2,399 down to €2,099 on the Storck; if the discount line is missing from your cart, enter FACESTORE at checkout. The page shows a crossed-out regular price and a 'Sale' tag, which is the store's own comparison figure; the return policy page says sale items cannot be returned, and the product tab's return terms do not mention that.

What we liked

  • Its page states a motor power, top speed and range (250W, 25 km/h, 40-60 km); three of the other four PRO TOUR pages state none of their own
  • A German and English user manual covers charging (about 5-7 hours), pedal-assist speed modes 1-5, walk assist at 6 km/h and the LCD display
  • The photos show a front suspension fork, disc brakes, a rear derailleur on a multi-speed cassette and a headlight on the fork
  • The manual states IP54 splash resistance and gives battery storage and charging temperatures
  • At €899, with €1,099 crossed out, it is priced below the other four PRO TOUR bikes (€999 to €2,399), and all four variants were in stock when read

Worth noting

  • The page's long description and 'Award-Winning Design' paragraph are the same text as on the store's own Storck Erde.2 page and describe a belt-drive bike, not the one in the photos
  • No battery capacity or voltage, weight, frame size or maximum load is given on the page or in the manual
  • The store calls it a 'City Electric Bike', but the photos show a mountain-bike-style bike with knobby tires
  • The colors offered are Red and Blue, while the photos show a black frame with blue accents
  • No independent coverage of the M920 turned up in searches made on 2026-10-22

Questions before you buy

How long does the M920 take to charge?

The user manual says a full charge takes about 5-7 hours, with the charger light red while charging and green when done. Neither the page nor the manual gives the battery's capacity or voltage.

What do the 27.5 and 29 inch sizes refer to?

The page lists them only as 'Size' options, under an option name written in Chinese, and does not say whether they describe the wheels or the frame. No frame size, rider-height range or maximum load appears on the page or in the manual.

Is the M920 a city bike or a mountain bike?

The store calls it a city electric bike, but its photos show a mountain-bike-style bike with a down-tube battery, a front suspension fork, disc brakes, a rear derailleur and knobby tires, and the manual's cover shows a mountain-bike-style e-bike too. The long description on the page is the same text as on the store's own Storck Erde.2 page, about a belt-drive city bike, and does not describe the M920.

Does PRO TOUR ship outside the EU?

Not according to its country selector, which lists 25 EU countries with prices in euros and no US, UK, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand option. The shipping policy page that mentions the US lower 48 is Totem USA's text. Ask [email protected] before ordering from outside the EU.

What is the return window?

Product pages say 30 days in three cases: an unopened item, a defective motor, battery or frame, or a ride-trial return under 10 km. The return policy page says 30 days, bars returns of sale items, gives EU buyers a 14-day cooling-off right and still shows '[INSERT RETURN ADDRESS]', so confirm the process with support before you buy.

What warranty do the bikes carry?

Product pages show a 2-year warranty label. The M920 manual says 24 months on the frame and 12 months on battery and motor, while the warranty policy page is Totem USA's US-only text with different terms. Ask [email protected] for the terms that apply to your bike in writing.

What we couldn’t verify

  • The page's long description and 'Award-Winning Design' paragraph are word for word the same text as on the store's own Storck Erde.2 page (250W mid-drive, 1-speed belt drive, 360 Wh battery) and do not describe the M920; the page has no specification table of its own.
  • The store calls it a 'City Electric Bike', but the photos show a mountain-bike-style bike (down-tube battery, suspension fork, disc brakes, rear derailleur), not the belt-drive city bike of the long description.
  • Battery capacity, voltage, weight, frame size and maximum load are stated nowhere for the M920; the catalog's 23,000 g per variant is a shipping weight. The manual sits on another shop's Shopify CDN and gives a bikework.eu customer-service address.
  • The shipping and warranty policy pages are copies of another company's text (Totem USA) and the return page keeps a placeholder address, so the product tabs' shipping, return and warranty terms cannot be checked against a policy.
  • The store ties PROTOUR to Golden Wheel Group and says the bikes are crafted in Czechia, while its legal page gives a Romanian address; no company registry or certificate was available to check either claim.
  • No independent test or customer review of this model was found in web searches made on 22 October 2026.
