Our verdict

The Jasper suits a buyer who wants an SL-track chair with zero gravity, Bluetooth and a body scan at the lowest price in RELAXONCHAIR's range, delivered ready to use, and who fits its 6'2" and 264.5 lb limits. It has far fewer airbags than the MK-V Plus, and its one customer review on the store's page is negative. As with the brand's other chairs, a return costs 15% plus freight and the warranty covers parts only after year one, so ask the store in writing about returns on a marked-down chair before ordering.

The Jasper is the least expensive massage chair RELAXONCHAIR has in stock and the newest of its three current models: its user manual is dated 2024. The Fullerton, California company sells it direct for $1,599, next to a crossed-out $2,999; this review quotes what you would pay. Like the brand's other chairs, it is designed in the USA and made in China, per the product page.

Four rollers travel a 57-inch SL-track, which follows the back and curves under the seat. When you switch it on, a body scan finds your shoulder height and then gives you seven seconds to move it up or down. Manual mode offers five techniques, including kneading, tapping and shiatsu, over the full back, part of the back or one spot, with three speed levels and three massage widths.

There are 18 airbags, in the shoulders, arms, waist, calves and feet, with three intensity levels, plus foot rollers with three speeds that you can switch off. The product page lists lower-back heat; the remote section of the 2024 manual describes heating for the backrest pad and the calves.

You get 12 auto programs, including stretching and Swedish- and Thai-style sessions, which run for 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Two zero-gravity positions tilt the chair back with your legs raised. Armrest shortcut keys, a USB charging port, a pocket for the remote or a phone and Bluetooth speakers round out the features. The manual asks users to keep each session within 30 minutes and any one area of the body within 5.

The Jasper is the smallest of the brand's three chairs in stock: 56 inches long, 29.5 wide and 45.9 high upright, and 67.8 inches long reclined, with 3 inches needed behind it. It weighs 185 lb and runs on 110 V at 140 W. RELAXONCHAIR recommends it for users from 5'2" to 6'2" and up to 264.5 lb, lower limits than the MK-V Plus's 6'5" and 300 lb.

It ships fully assembled in a single box, 214 lb with the pallet. Delivery is free by freight to the curb in the continental US, in 5–7 business days, with a 2–4 hour appointment window and a signature; Alaska and Hawaii cost extra, and P.O. boxes, military addresses and US territories aren't served. White Glove delivery, which carries it in, sets it up and takes the packaging away, costs $400 more.

The manual and the website give the same 3-year limited warranty: parts and labor in year one, including an on-site visit where one is available or transport to a repair center; parts only in year two, when you pay for labor or shipping; the main frame only in year three. It covers the original buyer and home use only. You can request a return within 30 days of delivery if the chair is unused and in its original packaging, minus a 15% restocking fee, and you pay the return shipping. The store shows the Jasper with a crossed-out $2,999 and its policy says sale items can't be returned, so ask before you buy.

The manual lists people who should not use the chair or should ask a doctor first, including people with a pacemaker, heart disease, osteoporosis, a curved spine or a herniated disc, and pregnant women. The store's product page shows one customer review so far: one star, from a buyer who had owned a RELAXONCHAIR for years and was not happy with the Jasper as its replacement. Within the range, the MK-V Plus ($2,499) has 38 airbags and a 6'5" limit, and the YUKON-4D ($6,499) adds 4D rollers and 76 airbags.

What we liked

  • Arrives fully assembled and, at 185 lb, is the lightest of the brand's three chairs in stock
  • A 57 in SL-track, longer than the MK-V Plus's 50 in L-track, with an automatic body scan
  • 12 auto programs, two zero-gravity positions and armrest shortcut keys
  • Bluetooth speakers and a USB charging port
  • The newest design of the three: its manual is dated 2024
  • Free curbside delivery in the continental US; the first-year warranty covers parts, labor and transport to a repair center

Worth noting

  • Only 18 airbags, against 38 on the MK-V Plus and 76 on the YUKON-4D
  • Tighter limits: users from 5'2" to 6'2" and up to 264.5 lb
  • A return costs a 15% restocking fee (about $240) plus return freight, and the policy says sale items can't be returned
  • Warranty cover shrinks fast: parts only in year 2, the frame only in year 3, and it isn't transferable
  • Its only customer review on the store's page is one star, from a long-time RELAXONCHAIR owner

Questions before you buy

Does the Jasper come assembled?

Yes. It ships fully assembled in one box. Delivery is to the curb unless you pay $400 for White Glove, which brings it inside and sets it up.

How much space does it need?

29.5 inches of width and 3 inches behind it. It's 56 inches long upright and 67.8 inches long reclined.

Will it fit a tall or heavy user?

RELAXONCHAIR recommends it for users from 5'2" to 6'2" and up to 264.5 lb. Taller or heavier users should look at the MK-V Plus, rated for users up to 6'5" and 300 lb.

Can I return it?

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery if it's unused and in its original packaging. RELAXONCHAIR keeps a 15% restocking fee and you pay the return freight. The policy also says sale items can't be returned, so ask the store first.

Who shouldn't use it?

The manual lists people with a pacemaker, heart disease, osteoporosis, a curved spine or a herniated disc, and pregnant women, among others: they should not use it or should ask a doctor first.
