RELAXONCHAIR YUKON-4D Massage Chair Review
RELAXONCHAIR's top chair: 4D rollers with four depth settings, 76 airbags, heated back rollers and foot heat, voice commands and Bluetooth speakers, in a recliner that needs about 2 inches behind it. $6,499 direct from the maker, with free curbside delivery in the continental US.

Our verdict
The YUKON-4D suits a buyer who wants a 4D chair with lots of airbags, heat in the back rollers and the foot section, and a small gap behind it, and who is sure about the purchase: a return costs 15% plus freight, and after year one the warranty covers parts only. If you can do without 4D rollers, RELAXONCHAIR's MK-V Plus costs $4,000 less; its listing shows an L-track, 38 airbags and lower-back heat. Before ordering, ask the store in writing whether its 30-day return applies to a chair it shows as marked down.
- Best for
- Buyers who want a 4D chair with 76 airbags, heated rollers and foot heat, and who are sure they won't need to return it.
- Skip if
- You have a condition the manual lists, such as a spine or heart problem, or you want easy returns and a longer full warranty.
The YUKON-4D is the most expensive massage chair from RELAXONCHAIR, a Fullerton, California company that sells its own chairs direct; its product page says the chair is designed in the USA and made in China. The user manual linked from the product page dates from 2021, so this is an established model rather than a new release. The store lists it at $6,499 next to a crossed-out $10,499; this review quotes what you would pay.
Its main feature is a 4D roller mechanism: the rollers travel along your back and also push in and out, with four depth settings on the remote. It uses six techniques — kneading, tapping, the two combined, shiatsu, knocking and rolling — and begins by scanning your body from the seat to the shoulders. The product page calls the track a newly designed J-Track; the 2021 manual describes an S-and-L-shaped track that runs under the seat to the glutes.
The chair has 76 airbags, in the shoulders, arms, back, waist, hips, thighs, calves and feet, with five intensity levels. Heat comes from the back rollers, which the store describes as light warmth, and from the foot section, which uses triple foot rollers with heel pressure points. The store's FAQ warns that its chairs' foot rollers can feel intense and suggests socks or a towel, or turning the foot rollers off.
You get 12 automatic programs — six regular ones and six more under a Special menu — plus an 8-minute quick session and a manual mode where you choose the technique, the area, the width, the speed and the 4D depth. Sessions last 10, 20 or 30 minutes, and the manual caps one session at 30. Voice control responds to seven set phrases, such as starting zero gravity or shutting the chair down, after a wake phrase, and built-in Bluetooth speakers play music from a phone.
Three zero-gravity positions tilt the chair back with your legs raised, and the footrest extends up to 8 inches on its own. The space-saver design needs just 2 inches behind the chair, per the spec table. It measures 65 inches long, 34 wide and 51 high upright, and 79 inches long reclined. RELAXONCHAIR recommends it for users from 4'11" to 6'6"; its spec table gives a 300 lb limit, while the feature list says it is rated for 320 lb, so plan around 300.
Delivery is free by freight to the curb in the continental US, in 5–7 business days, with a 2–4 hour appointment window and a signature; Alaska and Hawaii cost extra, and P.O. boxes, military addresses and US territories aren't served. The chair weighs 344 lb and ships in three boxes totaling 409 lb, and you attach the armrests and the footrest. White Glove delivery, which carries it to the room you choose, unpacks and sets it up and takes the packaging away, costs $500 more.
The 3-year limited warranty covers parts and labor in the first year, including an on-site visit where one is available or transport to a repair center. In the second year it covers parts only, and you pay for labor or shipping; in the third, only the main frame. It covers the original buyer and home use only, and damage in transit is claimed with the carrier. You can request a return within 30 days of delivery if the chair is unused and in its original packaging, minus a 15% restocking fee, and you pay the return shipping. The same policy says sale items can't be returned, so ask how that applies to this chair before you buy.
The manual lists people who should not use the chair, or only with a doctor's advice — among them people with osteoporosis, spine or disc problems, heart disease or a pacemaker, pregnant women and people over 80. The store's product page shows three customer reviews: two five-star, and one one-star from December 2021 about a Christmas delivery that hadn't arrived, so order early if it's a gift. Within the range, the MK-V Plus ($2,499) lists an L-track, 38 airbags and lower-back heat, and the Jasper ($1,599) arrives fully assembled.
What we liked
- 4D rollers with four depth settings and six techniques, after a body scan from the seat to the shoulders
- 76 airbags plus heated back rollers and foot heat; the brand's $2,499 MK-V Plus lists 38 airbags and lower-back heat
- Space-saver design: about 2 in of clearance behind it, per the spec table
- Three zero-gravity positions and an automatic footrest extension, for users from 4'11" to 6'6"
- Voice commands and Bluetooth speakers built in
- Free curbside delivery in the continental US; the first-year warranty covers parts, labor and transport to a repair center
Worth noting
- A return costs a 15% restocking fee (about $975) plus return freight on a 409 lb, three-box shipment
- The refund policy says sale items can't be returned, and the store shows this chair marked down from $10,499
- Warranty cover shrinks fast: parts only in year 2, the frame only in year 3, and it isn't transferable
- Curbside delivery unless you pay $500 for White Glove, and you attach the armrests and the footrest yourself
- Only three customer reviews on the store's page, and the page and the 2021 manual disagree on the track type and the weight limit

About 34 inches of width and 2 inches behind it, per the spec table. It's 65 inches long upright and 79 inches long fully reclined.
Can I return it?
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery if it's unused and in its original packaging. RELAXONCHAIR keeps a 15% restocking fee and you pay the return freight. The policy also says sale items can't be returned, so ask the store first.
What does the warranty cover?
Parts and labor in year 1, parts only in year 2 (you pay for labor or shipping), and only the main frame in year 3. It covers the original buyer and home use only.
Who shouldn't use it?
