Our verdict
A fit for Tentsile stackers who want an insect-screened level between a tent and a hammock and own a listed model: UNA, Flite, Connect, Stingray, Safari Vista or Trillium XL. Look elsewhere if you hang a single unit with no second level, or if you need the XL version now, since it showed out of stock. The main caveat is that one page mixes several model versions, so match the price and weight to your own tent before buying.
- Best for
- Stack owners with a UNA, Flite, Connect, Stingray or Trillium XL who want an insect-screened space between two levels.
- Skip if
- You hang a single tent or hammock with no second level, or need the Trillium XL version that showed out of stock.
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by per-model prices, weights and a stated head height; held back by only a few specification lines, no independent test of this exact product and the Trillium XL option showing out of stock.
Insect screening between two levels is the job of the Double-Bubble, a triple-walled no-see-um mesh that the page describes as an insect proof enclosure, usually attached to the tree tent above and the hammock below. It is sold by tent: UNA at $109, Flite at $129, Connect / Safari Connect at $149 and Stingray / Safari Stingray / Safari Vista at $179, plus a Trillium XL version at $239 that showed out of stock. Listed weights run from 2.53lbs/1.15kg to 3.86lbs/1.75kg.
Options and pricing
Five options are priced by tent: UNA $109, Flite $129, Connect / Safari Connect $149, Stingray / Safari Stingray / Safari Vista $179 and XL - Trillium XL only $239, which showed as out of stock when read. The spec lines add per-model weights, such as Flite (3.0) at 2.64lbs/1.2kg and Connect (3.0) at 2.76lbs/1.25kg, and say all models are made from no-see-um insect mesh with a set up head height of 4.1ft/1.25m. The page notes that the photo shows a ground conversion kit floor that is not included.
How it compares
Priced from $109, the Double-Bubble starts at the same figure as the Ground Conversion Kits, whose spec line mentions an 8,000HH rated ground sheet, and the page here notes that its photo shows a ground conversion kit floor. The Insulated Quilts list From $129. The Stack Support Straps list $59 and are described as locking Stack levels together so a Double Bubble is not stretched, which makes them the sibling most directly tied to this mesh.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Shipping is free on orders over $199 sent from the US (lower 48) and EU countries; for Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand the page says its rates are kept as low as it can and gives a rough guide of $10 for most accessories and $20 for heavier items inside the US mainland. Average delivery is 3 to 5 working days in the US and EU and 7 to 10 days for the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. PO Box addresses are refused. The page says no extra taxes or duties apply to purchases from the US, EU, Canada, Australia or the UK, optional cover from Route can be added at checkout, and free shipping covers the first delivery attempt only; stack and accessory parts can come from different warehouses and arrive in separate packages. Returns: unused, unopened products in their original packaging can go back within 30 days of receipt, and opened or tested products can too, with a restocking fee the page gives as $20 for an unopened box and $50 for a used product (another line on the same page says $30 for all non-warranty returns). You pay return shipping on opened products unless they are defective or were sent wrongly, pre-loved and clearance sales are final, Canadian returns go to a US return centre with duties paid, and EU returns that are not warranty cases go to the UK. Warranty: products bought on tentsile.com after January 2025 carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects when used as the manuals say; straps and ratchets are covered for 5 years and a rainfly is meant to be replaced about every 3 years. The exclusions include poles and pegs, wear and tear, UV degradation (fabric rated for 1,500 hours for black mesh, 2,500 hours for green fabric and 3,500 hours for Safari fabric), snow load over 1 inch, high winds and products bought from third parties. Orders from $35 to $2,000 can be split into four payments with Zip, ClearPay, PayPal or Afterpay.
Before you buy
Tentsile's page header says "Rated 4.5/5" with "1100+ reviews" and "120,000+ Happy Customers"; these are the store's own figures and were not checked. Independent coverage we could open is thin: a hands-on review of the Connect by TechGadgetsCanada (March 2024, about 8 set-ups and 4 to 5 nights) found a steep learning curve, workable trees at only about half of its stops and one cold night, and a Wilderness Times write-up of the Stingray summarises specs and owner feedback without showing any hands-on testing. Tentsile's own pages set limits that matter, for example a recommended set-up height of 1.2m / 4ft on its Trilogy page, a 1 inch snow-load limit in its warranty terms and an FAQ warning that tension loads can reach 15kN, so only healthy trees should be used. The store also warns about copycat sites, and its returns and warranty terms apply to purchases made on tentsile.com.
What we liked
- Priced by tent model, with separate versions for UNA, Flite, Connect, Stingray and Trillium XL rather than one size for all
- Per-model weights are listed, from 2.53lbs/1.15kg for the UNA version to 3.86lbs/1.75kg for the Safari Stingray (2.0) one
- The page says the clip-on system is modular and puts no restriction on how many stories can be stacked
- A set up head height of 4.1ft/1.25m is stated for all models
- No-see-um insect mesh is named as the material on every model
Worth noting
- The Trillium XL version at $239 showed as out of stock when read
- The price steps with the tent model, so the From $109 headline applies only to the UNA version
- Safari Stingray (2.0) shares the $179 option with Stingray and Safari Vista, but its listed weight, 3.86lbs/1.75kg, differs from the 2.98lbs/1.35kg given for the (3.0) group
- No mesh size, fabric weight or specification table is given, and one page mixes several versions
Questions before you buy
Which tents does the Double-Bubble fit?
The price options name Stingray / Safari Stingray / Safari Vista, Connect / Safari Connect, Flite, UNA and a Trillium XL version. The spec lines list weights for Una (3.0), Flite (3.0), Connect (3.0), Stingray / Vista / Stealth (3.0), Safari Stingray (2.0) and the XL, and the XL text says it also works with Stingrays, Safari Vista and Gen 2 Stealth Tree Tents.
How heavy is each version?
Per the spec lines: Una (3.0) 2.53lbs/1.15kg, Flite (3.0) 2.64lbs/1.2kg, Connect (3.0) 2.76lbs/1.25kg, Stingray / Vista / Stealth (3.0) 2.98lbs/1.35kg, Safari Stingray (2.0) 3.86lbs/1.75kg and Double Bubble XL 3.3lbs/1.5kg.
How big is the Double Bubble XL?
The page gives an upper length of 4.1m / 13.5ft and a lower edge length of 6m / 20ft and says it is made for the Trillium XL range of 6 person Giant Hammocks. That version listed $239 and showed out of stock when read.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
The returns page gives 30 days from receipt for unused, unopened products in their original packaging, and opened or tested products can also go back within 30 days minus a restocking fee it gives as $20 for an unopened box and $50 for used items (another line says $30 for non-warranty returns). You pay return shipping on opened products unless they are defective or were sent wrongly. Pre-loved and clearance sales are final.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty page says products bought on tentsile.com after January 2025 carry a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects when used as the manuals say, with straps and ratchets covered for 5 years. It excludes poles and pegs, wear and tear, UV degradation, snow load over 1 inch and products bought from third parties. A rainfly should be replaced about every 3 years.
How long does delivery take?
The shipping page says average delivery is 3 to 5 working days in the US and EU and 7 to 10 days for the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with free shipping over $199 from the US (lower 48) and EU. Some stack and accessory parts can ship from different warehouses and arrive separately.
Can I pay in instalments?
The Buy Now Pay Later page lists Zip, ClearPay, PayPal and Afterpay, which split an order of $35 to $2,000 into four payments; the Zip example says four instalments over 6 weeks with no interest, though the card issuer may charge fees.

What we couldn’t verify
- Only the XL version has stated dimensions (4.1m / 13.5ft upper, 6m / 20ft lower edge); the other versions give weights and a head height but no mesh size or dimensions.
- The option name Stingray / Safari Stingray / Safari Vista leaves out Stealth, while the weight line groups Stingray / Vista / Stealth (3.0), and Safari Stingray (2.0) has a different weight under the same $179 price.
- The page calls the enclosure insect proof but gives no mesh specification or test for that claim.
- Independent testing of this exact product: none found; the outside coverage located covers the Connect (hands-on, 2024) and the Stingray (specs summary).
- "Rated 4.5/5, 1100+ reviews" and "120,000+ Happy Customers" are the store's own page-header claims, not checked.
- The returns page gives a $50 restocking fee for used products and a $30 fee for non-warranty returns in different places.
- Some options showed as out of stock when the page was read on 20 October 2026.
