Our verdict

A fit for three friends, couples or families who want to link three Connect tents into one group shelter for up to 6 adults and still split them for separate trips: it lists $2,672, with a 2640lbs / 1200kg capacity and a 4-Season rating on the spec sheet. Look elsewhere if you need a stated set-up time or a smaller, cheaper stack such as the Stingray Starter Stack at $933.60. The main caveat is that the text and spec sheet give differing covered-area figures and an unclear hammock role.

Why 3.7/5: Lifted by a full spec sheet with capacity, weights, sizes and fabrics, and by the store's published terms; held back by no independent test of this exact stack, differing porch and capacity wording, and the need for suitable trees and set-up practice.

Three Connect 2-Person Tree Tents, a central canopy and a Trillium XL 6-Person Hammock make up the Trilogy 6-Person Super Stack, which the page says sleeps up to 6 adults. The spec sheet lists a 2640lbs / 1200kg capacity, a 4-Season rating, a unit weight of 67.2lbs / 30.5kg and a floor area of 198.3sqft / 17.9sqm. It costs $2,672 as one option, and the page says it can also split back into 3 individual Connect tents.

Options and pricing

There is one version at $2,672 with no variants. The store shows a crossed-out higher price of $3,252; that is the store's own comparison, not a market price. The box holds 3 x Connect 2-Person Tree Tent, 1 x Trillium XL 6-Person Hammock, 3 x 6ft / 1.8m Lightweight Webbing Ladder, 1 x Central Rainfly Canopy and 1 x Central Pole & Disc. The page says adding any standard hammock under each Connect converts the set-up to sleep nine people.

How it compares

The Safari Stingray Classic Stack XL lists $1,837 and combines a Safari Trillium XL, a Double Bubble XL and a Safari Stingray, while this Trilogy lists $2,672 and is built from three Connect tents. The Safari Stingray Classic Stack lists $1,564 and the Stingray Starter Stack lists $933.60 for up to 6 people across 2 levels, both built around a single Stingray tent.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Shipping is free on orders over $199 sent from the US (lower 48) and EU countries; for Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand the page says its rates are kept as low as it can and gives a rough guide of $10 for most accessories and $20 for heavier items inside the US mainland. Average delivery is 3 to 5 working days in the US and EU and 7 to 10 days for the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. PO Box addresses are refused. The page says no extra taxes or duties apply to purchases from the US, EU, Canada, Australia or the UK, optional cover from Route can be added at checkout, and free shipping covers the first delivery attempt only; stack and accessory parts can come from different warehouses and arrive in separate packages. Returns: unused, unopened products in their original packaging can go back within 30 days of receipt, and opened or tested products can too, with a restocking fee the page gives as $20 for an unopened box and $50 for a used product (another line on the same page says $30 for all non-warranty returns). You pay return shipping on opened products unless they are defective or were sent wrongly, pre-loved and clearance sales are final, Canadian returns go to a US return centre with duties paid, and EU returns that are not warranty cases go to the UK. Warranty: products bought on tentsile.com after January 2025 carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects when used as the manuals say; straps and ratchets are covered for 5 years and a rainfly is meant to be replaced about every 3 years. The exclusions include poles and pegs, wear and tear, UV degradation (fabric rated for 1,500 hours for black mesh, 2,500 hours for green fabric and 3,500 hours for Safari fabric), snow load over 1 inch, high winds and products bought from third parties. Orders from $35 to $2,000 can be split into four payments with Zip, ClearPay, PayPal or Afterpay.

Before you buy

Tentsile's page header says "Rated 4.5/5" with "1100+ reviews" and "120,000+ Happy Customers"; these are the store's own figures and were not checked. Independent coverage we could open is thin: a hands-on review of the Connect by TechGadgetsCanada (March 2024, about 8 set-ups and 4 to 5 nights) found a steep learning curve, workable trees at only about half of its stops and one cold night, and a Wilderness Times write-up of the Stingray summarises specs and owner feedback without showing any hands-on testing. Tentsile's own pages set limits that matter, for example a recommended set-up height of 1.2m / 4ft on its Trilogy page, a 1 inch snow-load limit in its warranty terms and an FAQ warning that tension loads can reach 15kN, so only healthy trees should be used. The store also warns about copycat sites, and its returns and warranty terms apply to purchases made on tentsile.com.

What we liked

  • A full spec sheet gives capacity (2640lbs / 1200kg), a 4-Season rating, unit weight (67.2lbs / 30.5kg) and floor area (198.3sqft / 17.9sqm)
  • It splits into 3 individual Connect 2-Person Tree Tents, so the parts can be used separately, per the page
  • Fabrics are named: a 70D polyester, PU coated (5,000HH) rainfly and a 400D nylon/polyester composite, PU coated floor
  • The spec sheet adds a 233sqft / 21.5sqm covered porch area, 12 doors and the straps, ratchets and poles
  • Each Connect has 4 inner mesh pockets, a tail pocket and 2 underfloor storage nets, per the page

Worth noting

  • It lists at $2,672 against $1,837 for the Safari Stingray Classic Stack XL, and the page gives no part prices
  • It needs suitable trees; the page gives a recommended set-up height of 1.2m / 4ft but no tree size or distances
  • The page gives no set-up time for a stack of 3 tents, a canopy and a central pole
  • The page says details may vary slightly because of continuous design improvements

Questions before you buy

What are the Trilogy's capacity and weight?

The spec sheet lists a 2640lbs / 1200kg capacity, a 4-Season rating and a unit weight of 67.2lbs / 30.5kg. Packed size is given as 22 x 13 x 9.85in / 56 x 33 x 25cm (x3).

What fabrics and hardware does it use?

The spec sheet gives a 70D polyester, PU coated (5,000HH) rainfly, a 400D nylon/polyester composite, PU coated floor, No-See-Um insect mesh, 9 x 38mm x 6m straps with 9 x 2.5-tonne rated ratchets and 7 x 8.5mm anodized aluminium poles.

Can it be used as three separate tents?

Yes, per the page: the Trilogy can separate into 3 individual Tentsile Connect Tree Tents, each able to accommodate two people. The central canopy is what attaches to the three Connect units to make the shared area.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

The returns page gives 30 days from receipt for unused, unopened products in their original packaging, and opened or tested products can also go back within 30 days minus a restocking fee it gives as $20 for an unopened box and $50 for used items (another line says $30 for non-warranty returns). You pay return shipping on opened products unless they are defective or were sent wrongly. Pre-loved and clearance sales are final.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty page says products bought on tentsile.com after January 2025 carry a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects when used as the manuals say, with straps and ratchets covered for 5 years. It excludes poles and pegs, wear and tear, UV degradation, snow load over 1 inch and products bought from third parties. A rainfly should be replaced about every 3 years.

How long does delivery take?

The shipping page says average delivery is 3 to 5 working days in the US and EU and 7 to 10 days for the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with free shipping over $199 from the US (lower 48) and EU. Some stack and accessory parts can ship from different warehouses and arrive separately.

Can I pay in instalments?

The Buy Now Pay Later page lists Zip, ClearPay, PayPal and Afterpay, which split an order of $35 to $2,000 into four payments; the Zip example says four instalments over 6 weeks with no interest, though the card issuer may charge fees.

What we couldn’t verify

  • The page text gives a porch area per tent and a separate central canopy area, while the spec sheet lists a single Covered Porch Area of 233sqft / 21.5sqm; the two sets of figures are not reconciled.
  • The box list includes a Trillium XL 6-Person Hammock, yet the text says up to 6 adults and sleeping nine means adding any standard hammock under each Connect; how the Trillium XL is used is not explained.
  • The note 'Not suitable for no longer than 3 months continual use at a time' is a double negative, so the intended limit is unclear, and no set-up time is given.
  • Independent testing of this exact product: none found; the outside coverage located covers the Connect (hands-on, 2024) and the Stingray (specs summary).
  • "Rated 4.5/5, 1100+ reviews" and "120,000+ Happy Customers" are the store's own page-header claims, not checked.
  • The returns page gives a $50 restocking fee for used products and a $30 fee for non-warranty returns in different places.
  • The spec numbers come from the spec sheet image on the product page, read by hand on 20 October 2026.
