Our verdict

Choose it if you want a network streaming DAC with 6.35mm, 4.4mm BAL and XLR4 BAL headphone outputs and a preamp mode, as the page's pictures show them. Look elsewhere if you need figures that agree: the pictures give the headphone power three ways and conflict on optical and USB DSD support. All spec figures here come from the store's own pictures, and several of them disagree.

Best for
Shoppers who want LAN streaming, a DAC and balanced headphone outputs in one unit.
Skip if
You want specification figures that agree across the pictures or a text specification list.

Why 3.3/5: Held back by a page whose facts mostly sit in pictures rather than text, with no specification list as text; the store's own terms contradict each other too, and no independent test of this model was checked for this review: every spec figure is the store's own.

Listed at $1,299 in black, red or silver, the Yulong Asura has a description made of 8 pictures rather than text. Those pictures list an AK4499EX DAC with an AK4191, USB, coaxial, optical and LAN inputs, XLR and RCA analog outputs, and headphone outputs of 6.35mm, 4.4mm BAL and XLR4 BAL. They name three operating modes: pure network streaming DAC, network streaming player decoder headphone amp, and an all-in-one solution.

Options and pricing

Three colors are listed, Black, Red and Silver, each at $1,299 and all orderable when the page was read. Each option is named by color alone. One picture shows units in silver, red and black, and a pictured rear panel lists mains AC 220/110V 50/60HZ with a voltage selector. No in-the-box list appears in the pictures read for this review.

How it compares

Both the Singxer SDA-6 PRO2 / PRO 2 Dual AK4499EX Digital to Analog Convertor (DAC) and this Asura are $1,299 and name AK4499EX and AK4191 chips; the Singxer is named a DAC, while the Asura pictures list LAN streaming and three headphone outputs, so the Asura suits buyers who want those in one unit. The Cayin iDAC-8 Tube DAC and Headphone Amplifier is $1,199.99 and is named a tube DAC with a headphone amplifier, which suits buyers who want a tube stage. The Yulong DA11 ES9038PRO Desktop DAC Amplifier Pre-Amp All in One is $1,400.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • The pictured spec table lists input rates per input: USB PCM up to 32Bit/1536kHz with Native DSD64/128/256/512/1024, coaxial PCM up to 24Bit/384kHz, NET/Optical PCM up to 24Bit/192kHz
  • Headphone power is listed at 32Ω, 64Ω, 150Ω, 300Ω and 600Ω for single-ended and balanced, for example balanced 5000mW and single-ended 1500mW at 32Ω
  • Three headphone outputs (6.35mm, 4.4mm BAL, XLR4 BAL) plus XLR and RCA analog outputs are pictured
  • Gigabit Ethernet with Airplay, DLNA and Roon bridge is pictured
  • A 99-level analog volume control and a spectrum display with automatic screen off are pictured

Worth noting

  • The description is 8 pictures with no page text, so the spec table is itself a picture, and its small marks after "Power Rating" and "0.001" have no footnote
  • The pictures give the headphone amp's power as 8W, as 5 Watt or up to 5 Watts, and as 5000mW balanced at 32Ω in the table
  • The pictured table prints the preamp output impedance as above 20Ω and the DAC output impedance as below 20Ω
  • The pictures disagree on optical-input and USB DSD support, on memory (512MB or 512Mb) and on the 50W power supply (an optional-supply icon against a powered-by line)
  • An FFT plot from a Prism Sound dScope Series III is pictured with no distortion figure printed on it
  • No in-the-box list appears in the pictures read for this review

Questions before you buy

How much headphone power does the Asura list?

The pictured spec table gives, for 32Ω/64Ω/150Ω/300Ω/600Ω, single-ended 1500/630/300/140/90mW and balanced 5000/2500/1100/540/280mW. Other pictures say 8W, 5 Watt or up to 5 Watts, so the figures conflict.

Which inputs does it have and at what rates?

The pictures list USB, Coaxial, Optical and LAN network stream. The table gives USB PCM up to 32Bit/1536kHz with DoP64, DoP128 and Native DSD64/128/256/512/1024; Coaxial PCM up to 24Bit/384kHz with DoP64 and DoP128; NET/Optical PCM up to 24Bit/192kHz with DoP64.

What network features are listed?

The pictures list a Gigabit Ethernet port, a dual-core CPU, 512MB memory and a Linux system, with Airplay, DLNA and Roon bridge. One picture reads 512Mb of RAM instead of 512MB.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The pictures give the headphone amp power as "8W of power output" (described as the same as the DA1), as 5 Watt, 5W or "up to 5 Watts", and as 5000mW balanced at 32Ω in the pictured table.
  • One picture says "COAX/Optical support for DoP64, DoP128, PCM 384KHz" where the table gives NET/Optical PCM up to 24Bit/192kHz with DoP64 only; the same picture says USB "DoP64-Dop512" where the table lists DoP64, DoP128 and Native DSD64/128/256/512/1024.
  • Memory reads "512MB memory" in one picture and "512Mb of RAM" in another, and one picture's icon says "Optional Power Supply" (50W) while another says "Powered by 50W Noratel toroidal linear power supply".
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
