Yulong DAART Aurora DAC/Preamp/Amp Review
A DAC, preamplifier and headphone amplifier listed at $999.99 as the Standard Version-Silver. A pictured table gives 4000mW at 32Ω from the 4.4mm and XLR4 balanced outputs and 1600mW at 32Ω from the 6.35mm output, so it suits buyers who want balanced headphone and pre-amp outputs in one unit.

Our verdict
A fit for a buyer who wants a DAC, preamp and headphone amplifier with 4.4mm and XLR4 balanced outputs and power figures at four loads, at $999.99. Look elsewhere if you need Bluetooth confirmed in this option, one agreed set of dimensions or an in-the-box list. The main caveat is that the pictures disagree with each other and with the store's title on a few points, and every figure is the page's own.
- Best for
- Anyone who wants a DAC, preamp and balanced headphone outputs in one unit.
- Skip if
- You need Bluetooth confirmed for this option or a single agreed set of dimensions and DSD limits.
Why 3.3/5: Pulled down by a page that keeps its specifications in pictures instead of text, by the store's own terms contradicting each other, and by no independent test being checked for this review, so every figure is the store's own.
The Yulong DAART Aurora, written DA-ART in its pictures, is a DAC, preamplifier and headphone amplifier that the store lists at $999.99 as the Standard Version-Silver. The page's pictures name an ES9068AS DAC, an XMOS XU216 solution, 8x MQA decoding, and 6.35mm, 4.4mm and XLR4 headphone outputs plus XLR and RCA analog outputs. A pictured table gives 4000mW at 32Ω from the balanced outputs.

Options and pricing
One option is listed, Standard Version-Silver, at $999.99 and orderable when the page was read. The pictures call Bluetooth an optional input and carry a footnote saying the feature is only available in selected countries, and the page text does not say whether this Standard Version includes it. The pictures read for this review list no box contents.
How it compares
At $999.99 the Aurora sits next to the xDuoo TA32 ROHM BD34301 DAC&Tube Balance Headphone Amplifier at $999 and below the DAART Yulong A39 R2R Pre Amplifier & Headphone Amplifier at $1,099, while the FiiO K9 Dual ES9068AS THX AAA QCC5124 Bluetooth 5.1 Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier is listed at $499.99. The TA32's title names a tube stage and the A39's an R2R pre amplifier. Pick the Aurora for a DAC, preamp and balanced headphone outputs in one unit, with power figures at four loads in its pictures.
Shipping, returns and warranty
HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.
Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.
HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.
On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.
What we liked
- Headphone power is listed at four loads (32Ω, 64Ω, 150Ω, 300Ω) for both the 6.35mm and the 4.4mm/XLR4 outputs in a pictured table
- Three headphone outputs per the pictures: 6.35mm, 4.4mm balanced and XLR4 balanced, plus XLR and RCA analog outputs
- A DAC/Preamp switch and an RCA line input are labelled on the rear, and pre-amp output levels of 6V max (RCA) and 12V max (XLR) are listed in a pictured table
- USB input listed in a pictured table at PCM 32Bit/768kHz and Native DSD512, with iOS, Android, Mac OSX, Linux and Windows XP to 11 named
- Pictures name the ES9068AS DAC and an XMOS XU216 solution
Worth noting
- Dimensions are given two ways: 200mm x 165mm x 52mm in the table and 190 x 165 x 52 mm in two pictures
- Coaxial and optical DSD is DoP64 only in the table, but one picture says up to DoP128
- The store's title says ESS9068AS*2, but the pictures name the ES9068AS once and show one DAC block
- Bluetooth is called optional and limited to selected countries, and the page text does not say whether this option includes it
- No in-the-box list was found in the pictures read for this review
Questions before you buy
What headphone power does the Aurora list?
A pictured table gives, for the 6.35mm output, 32Ω 1600mW, 64Ω 870mW, 150Ω 370mW and 300Ω 180mW; for the 4.4mm and XLR4 balanced outputs, 32Ω 4000mW, 64Ω 1500mW, 150Ω 750mW and 300Ω 375mW. A note in the table says these were measured at THD+N under 0.001%.
Does it have Bluetooth?
The pictures call Bluetooth optional (v5.0, with aptX and LDAC codecs named) and say the feature is only available in selected countries. The single option listed is Standard Version-Silver, and the page text does not say whether it includes Bluetooth.
How many DAC chips does it have?
The store's title says ESS9068AS*2, but the pictures name the ES9068AS once and the block diagram shows one DAC block; none says two or dual.
Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?
From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.
Can I send it back if I change my mind?
HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.
What warranty does HiFiGO give?
One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify
- Conflicts in the pictures: dimensions are 200mm x 165mm x 52mm in the table but 190 x 165 x 52 mm in two pictures; coaxial and optical DSD is DoP64 in the table but up to DoP128 in a feature picture; the DAC THD+N is printed as 0.0001x %.
- The store's title says ESS9068AS*2 (two chips), but the pictures name the ES9068AS once and the block diagram shows one DAC block. The pictures call Bluetooth optional, and the page text does not say whether the Standard Version includes it.
- Sound and measurement claims in the pictures (MQA keeping the sound of the original master, the Aurora measuring well) are the page's own claims; a Prism Sound dScope FFT trace is pictured with no figures stated.
- HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
- HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
