Our verdict

Makes sense for buyers who like swappable audio motherboards and want a 4.97-inch screen with a 9000mAH battery at $1,299. Look elsewhere if output power, ports, storage and Bluetooth details matter; the page text gives none. The open question is which motherboard comes with the $1,299 option.

Why 3.5/5: Held back because the store's own pages disagree with themselves on terms, and because no independent test of this model was checked for this review; every figure is the store's.

The page describes the N6iii as a player with audio motherboards that swap without screws, and the player itself is listed at $1,299. The page gives a 4.97-inch display, a 9000mAH battery at 3.8V and dimensions of 126mm x 77.8mm x 23mm. For its C201 motherboard it names a CS43198 DAC chip. The text is mostly design narrative and lists no output power, ports or operating system.

Options and pricing

Three options are listed: the N6iii at $1,299, Motherboard R202 only at $559 and Motherboard E203 only at $359, and the page marks all three orderable. The two boards are sold alone, so the cheapest price on the page is a board, not the player. The text describes the C201 as the debut board but does not say which board comes with the $1,299 player or describe the R202 and E203.

How it compares

The iBasso DX270 R2R Ultra is the same $1,299 and describes an 8-Channel R2R, fully differential design in its spec line; the N6iii page names a CS43198 chip on the C201 board and a board-swap system. The iBasso DX260MK2 costs $999.99 and its title lists CS43198*8. The FiiO M17 is $1,799.99 with dual ES9038Pro DAC chips. Pick the N6iii if swappable boards matter more than a port list in the page text.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Audio motherboard swaps with a tool-free quick-release latch and no screws, per the page
  • 4.97-inch display with playback buttons and volume knob tucked beneath it
  • Battery (9000mAH @3.8V) and dimensions (126mm x 77.8mm x 23mm) are stated
  • The C201 board names its CS43198 DAC chip and three design terms
  • Two boards, R202 and E203, are sold separately at $559 and $359

Worth noting

  • The page text gives no output power, impedance, ports, storage, operating system, codecs or weight
  • The page text does not say which motherboard comes with the $1,299 player and does not describe the R202 or E203
  • Gen2 boards are not backward compatible with N6ii boards, per the page

Questions before you buy

How does the audio motherboard swap work?

The page describes a tool-free quick-release latch built as a three-point locking mechanism with a self-locking push-button system, so no screws are needed.

Which DAC chip does the N6iii list?

For the C201 motherboard the page says the DAC chip is CS43198. The page text names no chips for the R202 and E203 boards.

Are the Gen2 boards compatible with the N6ii?

The page says the Gen2 audio motherboard is not backward compatible with the first-generation N6ii audio motherboards, and that the new generation needs a larger PCB.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • The page text does not say which motherboard is in the $1,299 option; it describes the C201 only and never describes the R202 or E203 boards.
  • The page text gives no output power, ports, storage, operating system, Bluetooth codecs or weight; its percentage increases over the N6ii come with no N6ii battery or dimension figures in the page text.
  • Claims of 'excellent streaming performance', a 'superior' control experience and a 'minimal' size increase are the page's own words, while the page also lists a 26.8% increase in overall dimensions over the N6ii; no independent test was checked for this review.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
