Our verdict

Fits one viewer in a compact media room who wants a powered recliner with its own controls and can leave about 9 in free behind it. Anyone who wants a ready-made row should choose one of the Classic 2- to 6-seat rows instead, which this page links to. The main caveat is that the store words the leather in more than one way and no independent test was found.

Why 3.5/5: Lifted by a page that states width, depth, height, reclined depth, recline angle, wall clearance and a 350 lb per-seat limit; held back by the lack of any independent test and by store wording that differs on which surfaces are leather.

The ComfiRoom Classic Series 1-Seat Recliner is the single-seat base unit of the Classic Series, priced at $899 in the diamond-quilted Classic Series collection. It is 34 in wide, 40 in deep upright, 42.5 in tall and 68 in deep fully reclined, with a 150° maximum recline and a 350 lb limit. The page says top-grain leather on all contact surfaces and lists two motors, an independently adjustable headrest, ambient lighting and USB and Type-C charging. It also says you can start with one seat and add compatible single-arm seats later.

Options and pricing

The page offers five colors, Black, Brown, Blue, Red and Grey, as five variants at one price, with no row layout to choose because this is a single seat. The store shows a Regular Price of $899 and a Final Price After 30% OFF of $629.30. With one seat the per-seat figures simply match those two totals. All five variants were marked in stock when the page was read. One seat with its swivel tray table, which stores in the armrest compartment, is what the price covers.

How it compares

Next to the ComfiRoom Simple Style 1-Seat Recliner, which lists the same $899 and the same 34 in width, this Classic Series seat has diamond-quilted stitching where Simple Style has cleaner panels, and it lists a 150° maximum recline against 135° there. For a wider layout, the ComfiRoom Classic Series 2-Seat Recliner Row is $1,699 at 63 in, and the ComfiRoom Classic Series 3-Seat Recliner Row is $2,499 at 92 in, both with the same 150° maximum.

Delivery, returns and warranty

Delivery: free standard delivery covers the contiguous 48 states; the store does not deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, military addresses or P.O. boxes. Freight carriers deliver Monday to Saturday between 7 am and 7 pm with a photo as proof of delivery and no signature: the shipping page says to the ground level or the first dry area, while the FAQ says the boxes may be left at the curb, driveway, front door or garage. The shipping page says room-of-choice delivery is not offered at every location, and the FAQ adds that drivers usually do not carry furniture upstairs, into basements or through tight hallways. The same shipping page also says delivery fees are calculated at checkout, so check the shipping line before paying. Each seat ships as its own large package with its own tracking number, so a multi-seat order can arrive on different days. The store says it ships from 7 US warehouses, that most orders arrive within 7 days, and that each product page shows an estimated date range. Seats arrive with the backrest and the seat base separated (its fit guide lists a minimum doorway width of 25.8 inches), and assembly is two steps: attach the backrest to the seat base, then connect the wiring. Check the boxes for damage when they arrive (no signature is required, but if the driver is present the shipping page asks you to have damage noted on the delivery proof): the shipping page says to report damage or missing items within 3 business days, the refund page and the terms say 48 hours, and the refund page gives 72 hours for a wrong item. Returns and cancellations: a return must be started within 30 days of receipt, needs an RMA number from support and must come back in its original condition and packaging, and the refund page says unapproved returns are not accepted. Cancelling within 48 hours of ordering avoids a 7% processing fee; after that a 30% restocking fee plus shipping fees apply, while the shipping page says a cancellation is free before shipment and costs $149 after it. For a defective item the store says it pays return shipping and repairs or replaces it. Warranty: a 1-year limited warranty from delivery covers materials, foam, frame parts and mechanisms, including motors and USB ports, against defects in materials or workmanship under normal indoor home use; leather markings, foam compression, normal wear, accidents and spills, unauthorized repairs and commercial or outdoor use are not covered. An extended plan (comfiroom-Care) has to be bought with the furniture; its page lists seam slippage and breakage, frames, springs and mechanisms and structural and operational defects as covered and rips, tears, burns and punctures as not covered, and shows no price or term.

Before you buy

The store's page shows two prices for every seat configuration, a Regular Price and a Final Price After 30% OFF, and advertises a code of its own (COMFIROOMOFF30) for the same 30% on every product page, so the discounted figure is the working price and the regular price is the store's own reference. The page's Buy Now button applies that code only when the page address has no referral parameter; a page opened through this site's buy button has one, so Buy Now goes to checkout without the code: enter FACE4STORE (30% off, shown on this page) at checkout and check that the discount appears in the order summary before you pay. The store's own review widget repeats the same pool of reviews on every page of a collection (the Classic pages show 154 or 155, 147 of them five-star and 8 four-star on the 1-seat page); none of it was verified, and its five-star reviews carry caveats, such as a buyer who found the seat smaller than expected and better for gaming than lounging, and one who warned that in the Classic Series zero-gravity position the feet may block the view of a TV that sits low. We found no Trustpilot page for comfiroom.com (it returned 404 on 21 October 2026) and no independent hands-on test; the only outside mentions were roundup articles, which we did not rely on. The domain was registered on 17 April 2024. The About page says support can send leather samples to eligible US addresses, which is worth asking for before choosing a color.

What we liked

  • The page states width (34 in), upright depth (40 in), fully reclined depth (68 in), height, wall clearance and a 350 lb per-seat limit.
  • The seat has its own control panel; a memory button saves a recline and headrest position and goes back to it on a hold of about 2 seconds.
  • The page pitches it for personal movie nights and compact media rooms, and it takes 34 in of width.
  • All five colors share the $899 price, and each variant counted as in stock at the time of reading.
  • Charging is built in, with USB and Type-C ports listed for the seat.

Worth noting

  • Needs about 9 in of wall clearance to recline fully, and the fully reclined depth is 68 in against 40 in upright.
  • Growing this seat into a row later relies on 'compatible single-arm seats' that the page mentions but does not list or price; ready-made rows are separate products.
  • Some assembly is needed: the backrest and seat base are separate parts that have to be joined and wired.
  • No independent test was found; the only reviews located sit on the store's own widget.

Questions before you buy

Can more seats be added to the 1-seat recliner later?

The page says you can start with one seat and expand later by adding compatible single-arm seats to build a larger configuration. It does not say which seats are compatible, what they cost or how they join, so that is worth confirming with the store before planning a row.

How does the memory button work?

Each seat has its own control panel and two motors, one for the headrest angle and one for the backrest and footrest. To save a position, set the recline and headrest and press the memory button once. To go back to it later, press and hold the button for about 2 seconds.

How much floor and wall space does one seat need?

The page gives 34 in across, 40 in of depth upright and 68 in fully reclined, plus about 9 in of wall clearance for full reclining. Its drawing also shows a 22 in cushion width and a minimum door width of 25.8 in.

Does ComfiRoom deliver outside the contiguous US?

The shipping policy says free standard delivery covers the contiguous 48 states and that it does not deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, military addresses or P.O. boxes. Freight carriers deliver Monday to Saturday between 7 am and 7 pm to the ground level or the first dry area, with a photo as proof and no signature.

Will the seat fit through my door, and does it need assembly?

The store's fit guide lists a minimum doorway width of 25.8 inches, and seats arrive with the backrest and the seat base separated. The FAQ describes assembly as two steps: attach the backrest to the seat base, then connect the wiring. It adds that freight drivers do not usually carry furniture upstairs or through tight hallways.

What is the return window?

The refund policy says a return must be started within 30 days of receipt, needs an RMA number from support and must be in its original condition and packaging; unapproved returns are not accepted. Cancelling within 48 hours of ordering avoids a 7% processing fee, and later cancellations carry a 30% restocking fee plus shipping fees.

What does the one-year warranty cover?

The warranty page covers materials, foam, frame parts and mechanisms, including motors and USB ports, against defects in materials or workmanship for one year from delivery under normal indoor home use. Leather markings, foam compression, normal wear, accidents, unauthorized repairs and commercial or outdoor use are excluded. Claims go to [email protected] or 1-888-970-5199 with photos.

Independent

What we couldn’t verify

  • The page says compatible single-arm seats can be added later but does not list them, price them or say how they join the first seat.
  • Independent testing: none found. The reviews on the store's own pages (for example 155 on a Classic 1-seat page) sit on its own widget and were not verified.
  • The store describes leather as 'top-grain leather on all contact surfaces', 'on the seating surface' (FAQ) and 'natural leather'; no page says what covers the back, sides or base.
  • The FAQ says cushions keep their bounce and support for up to 15 years under normal use, while the warranty covers foam for one year and excludes foam compression.
  • Damage-report windows differ (48 hours on the refund page and in the terms, 3 business days on the shipping page), and cancellation costs differ (7% or 30% on the refund page, none before shipment and $149 after on the shipping page).
