DYU M20 All-Terrain Electric Bike Review

A non-folding all-terrain e-bike listed at €899, with a 250W rated motor (1000W peak), a 48V 18.2Ah battery and a 40kg net weight on its spec list. The page contradicts itself on range, slope and city use, and the only outside video covers a different US-market M20.

Our verdict

The M20 suits someone who wants a non-folding all-terrain e-bike with a 48V 18.2Ah battery on paper and will confirm the page's range, slope and city-use statements with the seller. Look elsewhere if you plan to ride mainly on city streets, because the page itself says cycling there is prohibited, or if you want an outside test of this specification. The main caveat is that the only outside video covers a different, US-market M20.

Best for
Anyone after a non-folding all-terrain e-bike with a 48V 18.2Ah battery who will confirm the range and city-use statements with the seller.
Skip if
You plan to ride mainly on city streets, which the page itself says is prohibited, or you want one clear range figure.

Why 3.2/5: A full spec list with sizes, battery and box contents lifts it; contradictions on range, slope and city use, an outside video that covers a different specification, and store-level terms and reputation notes covered elsewhere on this page hold it back.

Listed at €899, the M20 is an all-terrain e-bike that the page says is not foldable. Its spec list gives a 250W rated motor with a 1000W peak, a 48V 18.2Ah battery, a 40kg net weight, a 25km/h max speed and an aluminum frame, and its technical table lists a 20-inch hub. The page names three riding modes: Pure Electric, Assist and Pedal. The only outside video found covers the US-market M20 with a different specification, so it does not apply to this page.

Options and pricing

Only one variant is listed, in Brown at €899 with a crossed-out price of €1,399 on the page, and it was in stock when read. One battery is shown, 48V 18.2Ah, and the technical table lists a 7-8 h charging time with an AC100-240V charger input. The box list names two pedals, a charger, two open wrenches, an Allen key and an owner's manual.

How it compares

Priced the same at €899, the DYU UX BMX 20-Inch Fat Tire Electric Bike has a retro frame on 20 x 3-inch fat tires and a 250W motor, but its removable battery is listed at 48V 13Ah and its weight at 57 lbs, against the M20's 48V 18.2Ah and 40kg. The DYU C9 20-Inch Long-Range Electric Bike costs €999 and has a folding frame with a 48V 15.6Ah battery at 30kg, while the M20 is not foldable.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Where it sells: the shipping page names these EU countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden (Croatia appears twice); Germany is not on the list, and a cart test on 22 October 2026 returned no shipping rate for a German, UK, US, Swiss, Norwegian or Vietnamese address, while French, Spanish and Italian addresses got free delivery in an estimated 3 to 5 business days. Prices are in euros. Shipping: free over EUR 100, an estimated 3 to 5 business days, shipped within 2 working days from a Poland or German warehouse by FedEx, UPS or DPD (the FAQ page says 2 to 7 business days, and the Terms of Service say delivery 'may take up to 50 days'). Returns: the return page gives 30 days for a bike in its original packaging with under 10 km on the display; for a change of mind the buyer pays the return and EUR 200 per e-bike (EUR 100 per battery) is deducted, a defective bike is exchanged or refunded within 30 days, and cancelling before shipment costs 5%. The Terms of Service describe a 7-day dead-on-arrival rule, 10 days for faulty goods and 30 days for unopened items. Warranty: the warranty page gives one year from delivery for manufacturing defects: a replacement frame only (no labor), a battery repaired or replaced in year one and then a prorated credit, tires, brake pads and chains excluded, and claims by email to [email protected] with photos or video; product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner.

Before you buy

The page shows 37 customer reviews with 84% of them five-star in the store's own widget, which we could not verify. Reputation: Trustpilot lists dyucycle.com with a TrustScore of 3.7 from 209 reviews (60% five-star, 26% one-star), a profile claimed in June 2024 with a Dover, Delaware address, and says the company replies to negative reviews. Recent one-star reviews describe bikes cutting out while riding, requests for EUR 100 to 200 return fees, unanswered emails and, from a Dutch reviewer, a model that was not road legal in the Netherlands; we have not verified any of them. The registry shows dyucycle.com registered on 8 April 2021. The About page says DYU was founded in 2016 and sells in over 60 countries, which we could not confirm; the Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, while the contact page gives a Rotterdam office address. The page shows a crossed-out price of €1,399 next to its '60-Day Lowest Price Guarantee' banner; that is the store's own comparison figure.

What we liked

  • Spec list gives a 48V 18.2Ah battery, a 250W rated motor and a 1000W peak
  • The page names dual-actuated mechanical disc brakes, lights, an LED battery-level display and three riding modes
  • The technical table lists an IP54 rating, a 7-8 h charging time and a BMS
  • The page lists an aluminum frame, a 20-inch hub size and a 120kg max load

Worth noting

  • Range is 100 miles in the header and spec list but 100km pedal assist and 70km throttle in the technical table; slope is 25 degrees in the bullets and 15 degrees in the table
  • The page says cycling on city streets is prohibited, yet its Urban block says the bike can navigate busy city streets
  • The one outside video covers the US-market M20, with a more powerful motor, different brakes and a higher top speed, so none of its figures apply here
  • Not foldable, at 40kg listed and an expanded size of 71 x 27 x 45 in
  • The page claims shock absorption but names no fork, rear shock or tire width

Questions before you buy

How far does the M20 go on a charge?

The page does not settle it. The header and spec list say 100 miles, while the technical table says 100km in pedal-assist mode and 70km in throttle mode. No outside test of this specification was found, and the one outside video, which covers the US-market M20, had no range test.

Where does the page say the M20 can be ridden?

It advertises rugged trails, sandy dunes, snowy paths and off-road terrain, and its Urban block says the bike can navigate busy city streets. The same page says cycling on city streets is prohibited and asks riders to obey local traffic regulations.

Does the M20 fold, and what is in the box?

No: the spec list gives the folded size as 'Not foldable' and the expanded size as 71 x 27 x 45 in. The box list names an 'M20 Electric Motorcycle', two pedals, a charger, two open wrenches, an Allen key and an owner's manual.

Does DYU ship to my country?

The shipping page names 24 EU countries and prices are in euros. A cart test on 22 October 2026 gave free delivery in an estimated 3 to 5 business days for French, Spanish and Italian addresses and no shipping rate for German, UK, US, Swiss, Norwegian or Vietnamese addresses. Ask [email protected] before ordering from anywhere else.

What is the return window and what does it cost?

The return page gives 30 days for a bike in its original packaging with under 10 km on the display; for a change of mind you pay the return and EUR 200 per e-bike is deducted (EUR 100 per battery). The Terms of Service describe 7, 10 and 30-day rules, so get the terms that apply to your order in writing.

What warranty does a DYU bike carry?

The warranty page gives one year from delivery for manufacturing defects: a replacement frame only, a battery repaired or replaced in year one and then a prorated credit, and claims by email with photos or video. Product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner that the page does not explain.

What we couldn’t verify

  • Range is 100 miles in the header and spec list but 100km in pedal-assist mode (70km throttle) in the technical table; the bullets say it climbs slopes up to 25 degrees while the table says 15 degrees.
  • The page says cycling on city streets is prohibited, yet its Urban block says the bike can navigate busy city streets; it names no certification, and its box list calls the item an 'M20 Electric Motorcycle'.
  • The only outside video (The Oh Family, YouTube, 4 Nov 2025, bike supplied by DYU) covers the US-market M20 with a different specification, so no outside figure applies to the 250W, 25km/h bike on this page.
  • The store's pages disagree on returns: 30 days on the return page, and 7, 10 and 30-day rules in the Terms of Service; the return page deducts EUR 200 per e-bike for a change of mind.
  • Product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner while the warranty page gives one year for manufacturing defects.
