DYU C6 26-Inch City Electric Bike Review

A 26-inch city e-bike listed from €759 (white) or €769 (black) with a 250W motor, a 36V 12.5Ah removable battery, Shimano 6-speed, a front basket and a rear rack. Outside reviewers call it a basic, affordable commuter, so it suits riders who want that; the page covers the older C6, not the C6 Pro.

Our verdict

The C6 is for riders who want a basic city commuter with gears, a basket and a rack and are content with the older C6 rather than the C6 Pro. Look elsewhere if you want a display, a firm range figure or the latest generation: ERideHero logged 27.6 miles of assisted range against the page's 60km, and two outside sources note no screen. The main caveat is that the page's figures conflict with each other and with outside sources.

Best for
Commuters who want a basic 26-inch bike with gears, a basket and a rack and do not need a display or the newer C6 Pro.
Skip if
A display, a firm range figure or the latest generation matters to you, and the page's own FAQ places that generation in the C6 Pro.

Why 3.4/5: Independent coverage of this model, including measured figures, and a page that lists motor, battery, sizes and box contents lift it; figures that conflict within the page and with outside sources, and store-level terms and reputation notes covered elsewhere on this page hold it back.

Aimed at city commuting, the C6 is a 26-inch e-bike with a 250W motor, a 36V 12.5Ah removable battery and Shimano 6-speed gearing, listed from €759. The page lists a high-carbon steel frame, a front suspension fork, a front basket and a rear rack, and its own FAQ treats the C6 Pro as the latest generation, so this page covers the older C6. Three outside sources cover this model, with measured figures from ERideHero.

Options and pricing

Two variants share the EU plug: White at €759 and Black at €769, both in stock when read, with a crossed-out price of €999 shown on the page. The option text also reads 'Ebike Only'. The box list names the bike, a multifunctional spanner, two pedals, the battery, a charger with cable and an owner's manual; it does not itemize the front basket or the rear rack that the page promotes.

How it compares

Against the DYU T1 20-Inch Foldable Electric Bike, which costs €699, folds and lists a 250W motor, a 36V 10Ah battery, a torque sensor and 22.5kg, the C6 starts at €759 with a 36V 12.5Ah removable battery, 27kg and a speed sensor in its technical table. The DYU M20 All-Terrain Long-Range Electric Bike at €899 lists a 48V 18.2Ah battery and 40kg and is not foldable.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Where it sells: the shipping page names these EU countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden (Croatia appears twice); Germany is not on the list, and a cart test on 22 October 2026 returned no shipping rate for a German, UK, US, Swiss, Norwegian or Vietnamese address, while French, Spanish and Italian addresses got free delivery in an estimated 3 to 5 business days. Prices are in euros. Shipping: free over EUR 100, an estimated 3 to 5 business days, shipped within 2 working days from a Poland or German warehouse by FedEx, UPS or DPD (the FAQ page says 2 to 7 business days, and the Terms of Service say delivery 'may take up to 50 days'). Returns: the return page gives 30 days for a bike in its original packaging with under 10 km on the display; for a change of mind the buyer pays the return and EUR 200 per e-bike (EUR 100 per battery) is deducted, a defective bike is exchanged or refunded within 30 days, and cancelling before shipment costs 5%. The Terms of Service describe a 7-day dead-on-arrival rule, 10 days for faulty goods and 30 days for unopened items. Warranty: the warranty page gives one year from delivery for manufacturing defects: a replacement frame only (no labor), a battery repaired or replaced in year one and then a prorated credit, tires, brake pads and chains excluded, and claims by email to [email protected] with photos or video; product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner.

Before you buy

The page shows 24 customer reviews with 88% of them five-star in the store's own widget, which we could not verify. Reputation: Trustpilot lists dyucycle.com with a TrustScore of 3.7 from 209 reviews (60% five-star, 26% one-star), a profile claimed in June 2024 with a Dover, Delaware address, and says the company replies to negative reviews. Recent one-star reviews describe bikes cutting out while riding, requests for EUR 100 to 200 return fees, unanswered emails and, from a Dutch reviewer, a model that was not road legal in the Netherlands; we have not verified any of them. The registry shows dyucycle.com registered on 8 April 2021. The About page says DYU was founded in 2016 and sells in over 60 countries, which we could not confirm; the Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, while the contact page gives a Rotterdam office address. The page shows a crossed-out price of €999 next to its '60-Day Lowest Price Guarantee' banner; that is the store's own comparison figure.

What we liked

  • ERideHero measured this model with a GPS logger and a 175 lb rider, logging a 15.5 mph top speed and a 17 percent hill held at 11.6 mph
  • The page lists Shimano 6-speed gears, front and rear disc brakes, a front suspension fork and seat shock absorption
  • A front basket and a rear rack are listed for carrying shopping, work items and other essentials
  • The battery is removable, with a lock per the page, and the technical table lists a 6-8H charging time
  • ERideHero calls it worth buying if you want a simple, affordable city commuter, and The D Show calls it a good entry-level e-bike

Worth noting

  • ERideHero logged 27.6 miles of assisted range against the page's 60km, while BikeRide says testers found DYU's stated 37-mile range accurate
  • No display or screen per The D Show and BikeRide, and no speedometer, range indicator or assist levels per ERideHero
  • ERideHero calls the braking subpar, and the rear brake on The D Show's unit was loose on arrival and needed tightening
  • BikeRide's roundup, which has no test of its own and earns affiliate commission, lists the 60 lb weight and two owners reporting battery failures among its reasons not to buy
  • The page's FAQ names the C6 Pro as the latest generation, so this listing is the older model
  • The page lists a steel frame while ERideHero describes aluminum, and its two size blocks disagree on the expanded size

Questions before you buy

What did outside reviewers measure or report on the C6?

ERideHero (published 4 Sep 2024, updated 23 Feb 2026; it says it earns commissions and does not say whether the unit was bought or supplied) reviewed it over about a month with a 175 lb rider and logged a top speed of 15.5 mph, 27.6 miles of range with ride assist, 15.3 miles on throttle only, a 17 percent hill held at 11.6 mph and a weight of 59.5 lbs. The D Show (YouTube, 1 May 2024) used a UK-sold C6 that the host says was sent to him for free, and its rear brake was loose on arrival.

Is this the newest C6?

No. The page's FAQ says the C6 Pro has a larger battery and a greater maximum range and calls it the latest generation, so this page covers the older C6. The page does not give the C6 Pro's battery size.

What battery and gearing does the C6 have?

The spec list gives a 36V 12.5Ah battery, which the feature text calls removable and fitted with a lock, and the technical table gives a 6-8H charging time. ERideHero describes a 450Wh removable pack and says charging took closer to 6 hours. The page lists Shimano 6-speed gears, which The D Show also reports.

Does DYU ship to my country?

The shipping page names 24 EU countries and prices are in euros. A cart test on 22 October 2026 gave free delivery in an estimated 3 to 5 business days for French, Spanish and Italian addresses and no shipping rate for German, UK, US, Swiss, Norwegian or Vietnamese addresses. Ask [email protected] before ordering from anywhere else.

What is the return window and what does it cost?

The return page gives 30 days for a bike in its original packaging with under 10 km on the display; for a change of mind you pay the return and EUR 200 per e-bike is deducted (EUR 100 per battery). The Terms of Service describe 7, 10 and 30-day rules, so get the terms that apply to your order in writing.

What warranty does a DYU bike carry?

The warranty page gives one year from delivery for manufacturing defects: a replacement frame only, a battery repaired or replaced in year one and then a prorated credit, and claims by email with photos or video. Product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner that the page does not explain.

What we couldn’t verify

  • Expanded size is 1820*650*1160 mm in the Specs list but 1820*610*1150mm in the technical table; the page's FAQ calls the C6 Pro, with a larger battery and more range, the latest generation, so this page covers the older C6.
  • The page lists a steel frame (High-carbon steel in the Specs list, Steel in the technical table), while ERideHero describes a step-through aluminum frame.
  • Range is unsettled: the page claims 60km with assist and 43 km on throttle, ERideHero logged 27.6 miles and 15.3 miles, and BikeRide (no test of its own) says testers found DYU's stated 37-mile range accurate.
  • The store's pages disagree on returns: 30 days on the return page, and 7, 10 and 30-day rules in the Terms of Service; the return page deducts EUR 200 per e-bike for a change of mind.
  • Product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner while the warranty page gives one year for manufacturing defects.
