DYU T1 20-Inch Foldable Electric Bike Review
A 20-inch foldable e-bike with a magnesium alloy frame, a 250W motor, a torque sensor and a removable 36V 10Ah battery, listed at €699. It suits riders who want larger wheels in a folding bike and accept store-supplied range and weight figures.

Our verdict
A fit for riders who want a 20-inch folding e-bike at €699 with a torque sensor, Shimano 7-speed gears and a removable battery, and who treat the 60km range as the store's own claim. Look elsewhere if cockpit room above 1.8 m matters to you (TuttoTech.net found it cramped, while TechStage's 193 cm tester had no trouble), if you want a built-in display or if you need logged range data: none of the three outside reviews shows any. The main caveat is the page itself, which gives 22.5kg and 23KG and names a frame color it does not offer.
- Best for
- Riders who want a 20-inch folding e-bike with a torque sensor and a removable battery and accept store-supplied figures.
- Skip if
- You want a built-in display, need logged range figures or worry about cockpit room above 1.8 m.
Why 3.5/5: Lifted by three outside reviews of the EU T1 and a page that lists motor, battery, weights, sizes and box contents; held back by two weights and a frame color that is not offered, and by the store terms and reputation notes below.
With a torque sensor and a removable 36V 10Ah battery on its page, the T1 is a 20-inch foldable e-bike listed at €699: the page lists a magnesium alloy frame, a 250W in-wheel motor, Shimano 7-speed gears and front and rear disc brakes. The spec list gives 22.5kg, 25km/h and 60km of assisted range. Three outside reviews cover the EU T1, but TechStage ran no range or speed test, the Les velos electriques blog's figures are self-reported without logs, and TuttoTech.net quantified nothing.

The page lists one variant: Grey with an EU plug at €699, in stock when read, with a crossed-out price of €949. The page's box list covers the bike, its battery, a charger with cable, two pedals, a spanner and an owner's manual. How it compares

The DYU SP1 20-Inch Power Bank Folding E-Bike is also a 20-inch folding bike, from €1,099, with a removable 24V 5Ah battery and a 14 kg figure that excludes fenders and battery. The DYU C9 20-Inch Long-Range Electric Bike is €999 with 20 x 3.0-inch fat tires, 48V 15.6Ah, 30kg and a claimed 150km.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Where it sells: the shipping page names these EU countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden (Croatia appears twice); Germany is not on the list, and a cart test on 22 October 2026 returned no shipping rate for a German, UK, US, Swiss, Norwegian or Vietnamese address, while French, Spanish and Italian addresses got free delivery in an estimated 3 to 5 business days. Prices are in euros. Shipping: free over EUR 100, an estimated 3 to 5 business days, shipped within 2 working days from a Poland or German warehouse by FedEx, UPS or DPD (the FAQ page says 2 to 7 business days, and the Terms of Service say delivery 'may take up to 50 days'). Returns: the return page gives 30 days for a bike in its original packaging with under 10 km on the display; for a change of mind the buyer pays the return and EUR 200 per e-bike (EUR 100 per battery) is deducted, a defective bike is exchanged or refunded within 30 days, and cancelling before shipment costs 5%. The Terms of Service describe a 7-day dead-on-arrival rule, 10 days for faulty goods and 30 days for unopened items. Warranty: the warranty page gives one year from delivery for manufacturing defects: a replacement frame only (no labor), a battery repaired or replaced in year one and then a prorated credit, tires, brake pads and chains excluded, and claims by email to [email protected] with photos or video; product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner.
Before you buy
The page shows 39 customer reviews with 74% of them five-star in the store's own widget, which we could not verify. Reputation: Trustpilot lists dyucycle.com with a TrustScore of 3.7 from 209 reviews (60% five-star, 26% one-star), a profile claimed in June 2024 with a Dover, Delaware address, and says the company replies to negative reviews. Recent one-star reviews describe bikes cutting out while riding, requests for EUR 100 to 200 return fees, unanswered emails and, from a Dutch reviewer, a model that was not road legal in the Netherlands; we have not verified any of them. The registry shows dyucycle.com registered on 8 April 2021. The About page says DYU was founded in 2016 and sells in over 60 countries, which we could not confirm; the Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, while the contact page gives a Rotterdam office address. The page shows a crossed-out price of €949 next to its '60-Day Lowest Price Guarantee' banner; that is the store's own comparison figure.
What we liked
- Torque sensor with a listed maximum torque of 35NM, and a removable 36V 10Ah battery that needs a key to take off, per the page
- Shimano 7-speed gearing and front and rear disc brakes are listed, along with a rear rack and a shock absorbing system
- Three outside reviews cover the EU T1, including Les velos electriques' self-reported 23-24 km/h over 3 km of flat at max assist and about 35 km that used about 70 percent of the battery (no logs)
- TechStage reports that a 193 cm tester had no trouble, and its verdict calls the T1 a very stylish and good foldable e-bike
- TechStage reports assembly in under 20 minutes; the box list names spanner, pedals, charger with cable and manual
Worth noting
- The page gives 22.5kg in the header, spec list and details but 23KG in its technical table, and names two frame colors while offering only Grey
- TechStage found brakes and gears needing adjustment and under-inflated tires on arrival, no way to lock the bike folded, and folding that needs force
- TechStage notes no hydraulic discs, no display and a 3-LED battery indicator; Les velos electriques also notes a 3-LED indicator and basic seat-post suspension
- The motor cuts out abruptly at 25 km/h (TechStage), and Les velos electriques reports a slight delay of the torque sensor on quick re-acceleration
- TuttoTech.net, on a sample DYU supplied, found the brakes mounted reversed, mechanical brakes needing regular adjustment and a cockpit cramped above 1.8 m; nothing was quantified
- The page claims 60km assisted; outside figures are lower: TechStage's own estimate of 40-50 km and about 50 km extrapolated by Les velos electriques, neither from a logged test
Questions before you buy
Can the T1 battery be removed, and what does it use?
The page says the 36V 10Ah battery is removable and has an anti-theft device that needs a key to remove it. The technical table names an 18650 lithium-ion battery with a charging time of 5-6H, and the FAQ rates it for 300 charge cycles and gives approx 5-6 hours per charge session. TechStage and Les velos electriques both note a 3-LED battery indicator.
How does the T1 assist the rider?
The page lists a torque sensor with a maximum torque of 35NM, an in-wheel high speed motor rated at 250W and a max speed of 25 km/h that its FAQ says cannot be changed; it does not mention a throttle. TechStage says the motor cuts out abruptly at 25 km/h, and Les velos electriques reports a slight delay of the torque sensor on quick re-acceleration.
What rider height does the T1 list?
The product details give a recommended height of 5.24-6.39 FT and the FAQ gives 5'2-6'4, with a max load of 120kg. TechStage's 193 cm tester had no trouble, while TuttoTech.net found the cockpit cramped above 1.8 m.
Does DYU ship to my country?
The shipping page names 24 EU countries and prices are in euros. A cart test on 22 October 2026 gave free delivery in an estimated 3 to 5 business days for French, Spanish and Italian addresses and no shipping rate for German, UK, US, Swiss, Norwegian or Vietnamese addresses. Ask [email protected] before ordering from anywhere else.
What is the return window and what does it cost?
The return page gives 30 days for a bike in its original packaging with under 10 km on the display; for a change of mind you pay the return and EUR 200 per e-bike is deducted (EUR 100 per battery). The Terms of Service describe 7, 10 and 30-day rules, so get the terms that apply to your order in writing.
What warranty does a DYU bike carry?
The warranty page gives one year from delivery for manufacturing defects: a replacement frame only, a battery repaired or replaced in year one and then a prorated credit, and claims by email with photos or video. Product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner that the page does not explain.

What we couldn’t verify
- The page gives 22.5kg in the header, spec list and product details but 23KG under 'Net Weight' in the technical table, and the technical table names two frame colors (Steel Grey, Oliver Green) while only Grey is offered.
- The spec list calls 885 x 445 x 875 mm the 'Full size' while the technical table gives the same figures as 'Foldable Size'; the 60km range is a store claim (its FAQ gives '34.2 mi/60 km', which do not match), and TechStage's 40-50 km is its own estimate (no range or speed test).
- Outside sources carry commercial ties: TechStage has affiliate links and a reader code, Les velos electriques affiliate links and a promo code, and DYU supplied TuttoTech.net's sample with a EUR 100 discount code; the blog's figures are self-reported with no logs.
- The store's pages disagree on returns: 30 days on the return page, and 7, 10 and 30-day rules in the Terms of Service; the return page deducts EUR 200 per e-bike for a change of mind.
- Product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner while the warranty page gives one year for manufacturing defects.
