Our verdict

Fits riders who want a full-suspension mid-drive fat-tire bike, ideally on the 19'' frame if a second battery matters. Look elsewhere if you need dual batteries on the 17'' frame, a torque sensor or a measured range. The main caveat is that its figures are the store's own, and the outside review covers an earlier version.

Best for
Buyers who want full suspension on a mid-drive fat-tire bike and can use the 19'' frame if a second battery matters.
Skip if
You want a second battery on the 17'' frame or an assist system with a torque sensor.

Why 3.8/5: Credit goes to a detailed specification table, the store's published after-sale terms and an earlier Electrek write-up of the FAT-HS that predates this page; the company's BBB F grade and two unanswered complaints pull it down.

Full suspension and a mid-drive motor define the FAT-HS, which the store also names the Hunter X8 and lists at $3,449: a 48V1000W Bafang M615 mid motor with 160 N.m torque, a 48V15Ah battery and 26 x 4.0 Kenda tires. The header lists Class 3, and the specification table gives a 28 MPH maximum speed. Electrek reviewed an earlier FAT-HS in 2021, with a 48V 14Ah battery, described the maximum range as 'stated as 80 miles' with no test method given, and wrote 'I like the FAT-HS as a back-country adventure bike on larger, longer trails.'

Options and pricing

The page lists one color, Black, and two frame sizes, 17'' and 19'', at one price of $3,449, both in stock when read, and shows no crossed-out price. The price covers the standard 48V15Ah battery and the US standard 2.0 A smart charger. Add-ons listed on the page include a 48V 15AH Meta/Defender/HS Bike Battery and a Universal 48V15Ah Secondary Battery at $499.00 each, a 27.5 x 3 inch wheel set at $299.00 and a rack and fender set at $149.00.

How it compares

The Eunorau FAT-HD 2.0 (Hunter X7) Fat-Tire E-Bike lists the same 1,000W mid drive and 48V15Ah battery with an optional second 15Ah pack from $2,399, and its header says Class 2 where this page says Class 3 at $3,449. The Eunorau Specter S 4.0 (Hunter X9) Mid-Drive Full-Suspension E-Bike costs $3,799 with a 1,000W mid motor and a 48V 17.5Ah battery.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Shipping: the shipping page says e-bikes ship free by FedEx or UPS to the lower 48 states from warehouses in Las Vegas, with 1 to 3 business days of processing and an estimated 5 to 7 days in transit; Hawaii, Alaska and other countries need the +$500 shipping option at checkout (estimated 7 to 15 days), and carriers can add a charge for remote areas. Returns: an order can be cancelled for a full refund before it ships or is produced, but not after it ships; the page asks buyers not to refuse a delivered e-bike and to contact the store instead. A return must be applied for within 7 calendar days of receipt, the product must be new and re-sellable (not assembled, ridden, used or damaged) and complete with its manuals, accessories and original packaging, and the buyer ships it back within 7 days at their own cost to Eunorau's warehouses in the US, Australia, Europe or the UK. The store inspects it within 5 days and refunds in full when the fault is Eunorau's (wrong, damaged or defective item) or minus the shipping cost when the reason is the customer's. The terms page says customers are charged shipping only once, returns included, with no restocking fee, which does not match the return page's wording. Warranty: the 24-Month+ Limited Warranty on bikes bought in the US or Canada from 1 August 2023 covers manufacturing defects only: the frame for 10 years and the battery, motor and electrical components for 24 months, without labor or normal wear (brake pads, rotors, spokes, grips, shifters, cables, tires, chains, chainrings, cassettes). It is for the original purchaser, needs product registration right after purchase and an inspection by an authorized specialist or dealer after the first year, is cut by 50% for commercial use, does not cover free gifts or pre-installed racks and fenders, and excludes shipping damage (report it at once with photos or video). Disputes under the warranty go to binding individual arbitration (AAA rules, Nevada law) unless the buyer emails an opt-out within 30 days of purchase.

Before you buy

The page shows 426 customer reviews with 91% of them five-star in the store's own widget, which we could not verify; several product pages show the same review counts or lists, so the figure may not belong to this item alone. Reputation: Eunorau E-Mobility USA Corp has an F grade on the Better Business Bureau, is not BBB accredited and has 2 complaints on file, both marked unanswered: a December 2025 request for proof that a bike sold as new was new, and a May 2025 report of a battery cover that would not latch, which the buyer attributes to a frame defect. A web search on 21 October 2026 found no Trustpilot page for Eunorau. The store says it has specialised in e-bikes since 2009 and designs its bikes in the US and manufactures them in Shanghai, while the BBB lists a business start date of 12 December 2019; the eunorau-ebike.com domain was registered on 27 July 2016. The page shows a live 'people are viewing this right now' counter, which we could not verify. The store's FAQ defines Class 1, 2 and 3 e-bikes by assist or throttle and a 20 or 28 mph limit and says laws vary by state and country, so check local rules; many bike pages list a speed limit as 'Unlockable'.

What we liked

  • Bafang M615 mid motor listed at 1000W with 160 N.m torque, 0~5 level pedal assist and a thumb throttle
  • Full suspension: an RST GUIDE fork with 75mm travel and a KS-388RL rear shock
  • Two frame sizes, each with its own geometry column, and a 300 lbs total payload capacity
  • Hydraulic disc brakes with 180MM rotors and a motor cutoff switch, per the page
  • The page spells out when the optional second battery can and cannot be fitted

Worth noting

  • The second battery is not compatible with the 17'' frame, and on the 19'' frame the rear shock must be locked out to use it
  • The page describes cadence-sensing assist and lists no torque sensor; the reviewer of the earlier model wished for a torque sensor instead
  • The same reviewer found a rear rack and full fenders hard to fit because of tight tire clearance, and the external battery mount needed 'a little bit of DIY'
  • The earlier model's review said it is not the bike for single track and that the display shows limited information; the page does not say if this version changed that

Questions before you buy

Can I add a second battery?

The page lists an optional second battery, shown as 15Ah in the header and 14/17Ah in the specification table. Its note says the second battery is not compatible with the 17'' FAT-HS, and that on the 19'' FAT-HS the rear shock has to be locked out to use it. A second note asks buyers to lock out the rear shock when installing it to avoid damage.

What assist and display does it list?

The specification table lists 0~5 level pedal assist, a thumb throttle and a DP C080.C LCD display. The page copy describes the Bafang M615 system as having cadence-sensing assist.

What drivetrain and brakes does the page list?

A 9 speed gear shift system listed as SHIMANO ALTUS/SUNRACE RDM91 with a Shimano 11-34T cassette and a 42T chainring, and hydraulic disc brakes with EUNORAU Design 180MM rotors and a motor cutoff switch.

How is a Eunorau e-bike shipped and how long does it take?

The shipping page says e-bikes ship free by FedEx or UPS to the lower 48 states from Las Vegas warehouses after 1 to 3 business days of processing, with an estimated 5 to 7 days in transit. Hawaii, Alaska and other countries need the +$500 option at checkout (estimated 7 to 15 days).

What is the return window?

The return page gives 7 calendar days from receipt to apply. The item must be new, unused and complete in its original packaging, and the buyer pays the return shipping to Eunorau's warehouse; the refund is full only when the fault is Eunorau's. Orders can be cancelled for free before they ship.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty page lists 10 years on the frame and 24 months on the battery, motor and electrical components for bikes bought in the US or Canada after 1 August 2023. It covers manufacturing defects only, needs registration, and excludes wear items, labor and shipping damage.

Does Eunorau offer financing?

Every product page says 'Pay in interest-free installments' under Flexible Payment but names no provider, terms or limits, and we found no payment page, so ask the store before relying on it.
