Our verdict

A fit for buyers who want a portable DAC and amp at $199 with Bluetooth 5.2, a USB DAC mode and both 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs, with power listed at 32Ω. Look elsewhere if you need specifications as page text or figures from an independent test. The pictures give two sets of distortion and range figures, and no independent test was checked for this review: every figure is the store's own.

Why 3.3/5: Held back because the page text gives no specification list as text and keeps its claims in pictures, six of the 14 not read; the store's own terms also contradict each other, and no independent test was checked for this review: every figure is the store's own.

Listed at $199 in gray, the SHANLING UP6 is a portable Bluetooth DAC and amp. A spec table pictured on the page gives dual ESS ES9069Q DAC chips, dual SGM8262-2 amplifier chips, a Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth module with Bluetooth 5.2 and a 950 mAh battery. The same table lists 626mW at 32Ω from the 4.4mm balanced output on high gain and 195mW at 32Ω from the 3.5mm single-ended output with dual DAC output on high gain.

Options and pricing

Two options are listed: UP6-Gray at $199 and Brown Case Only at $14, both orderable when the page was read. The case is an accessory sold alone, so $199 is the price that includes the unit. A pictured accessories list gives a USB-C to C cable, a USB-C to A adapter, a USB-A to C cable and manuals, and one picture says a Shanling L3 Lightning cable is sold separately.

How it compares

The iBasso DC07PRO CS43131 USB Portable DAC&AMP is also $199 and is named a USB DAC/amp, while the UP6 is named a Bluetooth unit. The TempoTec MARCH V / M5 USB Bluetooth DAC & Headphone AMP is listed from $178 and is named for both USB and Bluetooth. The xDuoo XD05 BASIC2 CS43131 Portable DAC & Headphone Amplifier costs $299. The UP6 suits buyers who want Bluetooth with both plug sizes in one unit; the TempoTec is the lower starting price.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Dual ESS ES9069Q DAC chips and dual SGM8262-2 amplifier chips, as listed in a pictured spec table
  • Both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs, each with output power listed at 32Ω
  • Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX LL, aptX, AAC and SBC listed
  • Battery hours listed for each output: 6.5 hours single-ended and 4.5 hours balanced
  • Pictures list single and dual DAC modes for the single-ended output, a car mode and a UAC1.0 mode

Worth noting

  • The page text has no specification list: the figures sit in pictures, and six of the 14 were not read for this review
  • A headline picture gives -120dB THD+N and 130dB DNR with no output or load, while the spec table gives THD+N 0.0008% at 32Ω and dynamic range 123dB or 128dB
  • The 626mW balanced figure is for high gain at 32Ω; the same table lists 155mW on low gain
  • Listed battery life drops from 6.5 hours on the single-ended output to 4.5 hours on the balanced output

Questions before you buy

How much power does the UP6 list?

A pictured spec table gives 626mW at 32Ω on high gain and 155mW on low gain from the 4.4mm balanced output. For the 3.5mm single-ended output it lists 45mW and 180mW with a single DAC and 48mW and 195mW with dual DAC output, all at 32Ω, low gain then high gain.

Which Bluetooth version and codecs does it list?

The spec table lists Bluetooth 5.2 from a Qualcomm QCC5125 module, with LDAC, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX LL, aptX, AAC and SBC.

How long does the battery run?

The spec table gives a 950 mAh battery with 6.5 hours on the single-ended output and 4.5 hours on the balanced output, and a charging time of 2 hours. A battery picture says up to 6.5 hours of playback over an LDAC Bluetooth connection.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • A headline picture gives -120dB THD+N and 130dB DNR without naming an output or load, while the spec table gives THD+N 0.0008% at 32Ω and dynamic range 123dB single-ended and 128dB balanced.
  • Claims in the pictures are not checked here: 'fully matching performance of dedicated USB DACs' and 'one of the most powerful devices in its category'; a footnote on the USB picture says the picture is for reference only.
