Our verdict

A fit for a buyer who wants XLR and RCA line outputs plus 6.35mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs in one unit with an AC 110-240V input, at $178, or $198 with Bluetooth. Look elsewhere if you want Bluetooth on the $178 M5, which a picture says it lacks, or need a named DAC chip. The pictures do not say which edition this listing sells, and every figure is the store's own.

Why 3.3/5: What holds it back is a page without a specification list as text, claims placed in pictures rather than text, store terms that contradict each other, and no independent test checked for this review, so every figure is the store's own.

The TempoTec MARCH V is pictured as a DAC and headphone amplifier with USB, optical and coaxial inputs, XLR and RCA line outputs and two headphone outputs, 6.35mm and 4.4mm, and HiFiGO lists it from $178 for the M5 and $198 for the M5 BT. The page has no text description, only 23 pictures, and 15 of them were not opened. The pictures read give 1750mW+1750mW at 32Ω from the 4.4mm output, a weight of 986g and an AC 110-240V input.

Options and pricing

Four options are listed: the M5 named for an EU plug or a US plug at $178 each, and the M5 BT named for an EU plug or a US plug at $198 each, all orderable when the page was read. Pictures give the Bluetooth input to the M5 BT and M5 Limited only and list a Bluetooth antenna for those two in the box. The pictures also show an M5 Limited edition, which is not among the options. The pictured box list names a remote control, a power cable, a USB A to USB C cable, a 6.35 to 3.5 adapter and a user manual.

How it compares

At $178 for the M5 and $198 for the M5 BT, the MARCH V costs more than the FiiO KA15 Dual CS43198 Portable DAC & Headphone AMP at $109.99 and less than the SHANLING UP6 Dual ES9069Q Portable Bluetooth DAC / AMP at $199. Both of those titles say Portable, and the UP6's names Bluetooth, while the MARCH V pictures show a 986g unit with an AC 110-240V input, XLR and RCA line outputs and a 4.4mm output. The MARCH V suits a buyer who wants those line outputs; the two portable titles suit one who wants a unit to carry.

Shipping, returns and warranty

HiFiGO sells from hifigo.com and says every order leaves its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after it is placed, and says its delivery times are estimates, not promises. Its shipping policy gives the United States 1-2 weeks (about 10 days on average) by Priority and 6-10 days by Premium, both with duties and taxes prepaid by the store; Canada 2-3 weeks; the United Kingdom 1-2 weeks; and Australia 10-15 days. Express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx) take 3-7 days, but then the buyer pays any duties and taxes. No shipping page names New Zealand, PO boxes are not accepted, and the free-shipping thresholds differ between the store's own pages, so check the cart. One of its two shipping pages adds that a lost parcel on an order above $50 gets only a 50% refund. A US buyer reported a $40 tariff charge in August 2025, after which HiFiGO said it had added a customs notice at checkout.

Read the return terms before you order. The homepage advertises 7-day returns. Both of HiFiGO's policy pages offer a 7-day dead-on-arrival cover (a replacement or a full refund, with the return postage refunded) and also describe 30-day returns, but a request made 7 to 30 days after delivery loses 30% of the MSRP as a restocking fee (10% more if the packaging is incomplete), plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same pages says there is no refund or exchange once 7 days have passed. One version recommends reselling an opened product locally. Custom IEMs and custom cables cannot be returned, no return address is published, and buyers describe sending items back to China.

HiFiGO's warranty runs one year from the order date for parts and labor; its policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles at one year and gives cables and adapters three months. HiFiGO decides between repair and replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and faulty items go back for service, not for a refund. Claims go to [email protected], the only contact the store lists: its pages name no company, street address or phone, and its terms are governed by the laws of China.

On Trustpilot, HiFiGO had 4.6 out of 5 from 378 reviews when we checked on 2026-10-28 (91% five-star, 5% one-star), and it had replied to about 75% of negative reviews; Trustpilot notes the store has not invited customers to review recently. The one-star reviews mostly concern the short return window and the deductions on returns, items listed in stock that turned out back-ordered, slow email support and a tariff charge on a US delivery in 2025. HiFiGO says its products are genuine and come in the brands' retail packaging; it does not claim to be an authorized dealer.

What we liked

  • Two headphone outputs, 6.35mm and 4.4mm, with 425mW+425mW and 1750mW+1750mW quoted at 32Ω for the M5 and M5 BT
  • XLR balanced and RCA line outputs alongside USB, optical and coaxial inputs, per the pictures
  • USB input lists DSD 512, MQA 8X and PCM 768kHz; the M5 BT lists a Bluetooth input with SBC, AAC and LDAC, per the pictures
  • SNR, THD+N and crosstalk are listed per output in pictured tables
  • The pictured box list names a remote control, a power cable and a USB A to USB C cable
  • The 16-feature picture claims replaceable OP-AMPs and an independent L/R analog circuit

Worth noting

  • The title names a Bluetooth DAC, but a picture gives the M5 without BT ($178) no Bluetooth input; only the M5 BT and M5 Limited have it
  • The figure pictures do not say which edition this listing sells; the M5 and M5 BT figures match and the M5 Limited, which is not an option, differs
  • The edition name is printed M5 Imilited in one picture and M5 Limited in others
  • No DAC chip name was read; the feature panels were not opened
  • The pictures give a weight of 986g and an AC 110-240V rear-panel label, so it takes a mains input

Questions before you buy

Does the MARCH V have Bluetooth?

Per the pictures, only the M5 BT and M5 Limited editions have a Bluetooth input (SBC, AAC, LDAC, 24Bit/96kHz); the M5 without BT does not. The options here are the M5 at $178 and the M5 BT at $198, although the title says Bluetooth.

What headphone outputs and power are listed?

The pictures list a 6.35mm output with 425mW+425mW at 32Ω and 48mW+48mW at 300Ω, and a 4.4mm balanced output with 1750mW+1750mW at 32Ω and 185mW+185mW at 300Ω, in the M5 and M5 BT columns.

Which inputs and outputs does it list?

Per the pictures, inputs: USB (DSD 512, MQA 8X, PCM 768kHz), coaxial (PCM 24Bit/192kHz, DSD64(DoP)), optical (PCM 24Bit/96kHz) and, on the M5 BT and M5 Limited, Bluetooth. Outputs: XLR balanced, RCA, and 6.35mm and 4.4mm headphone.

Where does HiFiGO ship from, and how long does it take?

From its warehouse in China, usually 1-3 business days after the order. The shipping policy gives 1-2 weeks to the US by Priority (6-10 days by Premium), both with duties and taxes prepaid, 2-3 weeks to Canada, 1-2 weeks to the UK and 10-15 days to Australia. Express couriers take 3-7 days, but the buyer pays any duties.

Can I send it back if I change my mind?

HiFiGO gives 7 days to report an item that arrives dead, damaged or wrong. Its policy also describes 30-day returns, but requests 7 to 30 days after delivery lose 30% of the MSRP plus shipping both ways and duties, and the FAQ on the same page says no refund or exchange after 7 days. Ask [email protected] before you open the box.

What warranty does HiFiGO give?

One year from the order date for parts and labor, for faults in build or materials (the policy names desktop DACs and amps, IEMs and dongles; cables and adapters get three months). HiFiGO chooses repair or replacement, the buyer pays the shipping, and a faulty item is serviced rather than refunded. Claims go to [email protected].

What we couldn’t verify

  • CONFLICT: the title names a Bluetooth DAC, but a picture says the M5 without BT ($178 options) has no Bluetooth input; only the M5 BT ($198) and M5 Limited do. The figure pictures give one column per edition and do not say which one this listing sells; the Limited is not an option.
  • CONFLICT (minor): the edition is printed 'M5 Imilited' in one picture and 'M5 Limited' in others. The card named in the box list shows a QR code and its text could not be read.
  • Claims of four fully discrete Class A headphone amplifier circuits and replaceable OP-AMPs come with no measurements. 15 of the 23 pictures, mostly feature panels, were not opened, so DAC chip names and other specs may sit there.
  • HiFiGO's policy pages contradict each other: 30-day returns with a 30% restocking fee in one place, no refund or exchange after 7 days in the FAQ.
  • HiFiGO's pages name no company, street address or phone number; the only contact given is [email protected].
