The Douk Audio 3.5mm to RCA Cable is a stereo interconnect at $26.99. It connects a 3.5mm socket — phone, iPad, PC or MP3 player — to twin RCA plugs on preamps, amplifiers, speakers, DACs and mixers, and the maker states it supports bidirectional stereo signal transmission, so the same cable can run the other way.

Electrically it uses 6N oxygen-free copper conductors with 24K gold-plated connectors for low resistance, wrapped in a tinned copper braided shield and multi-layer insulation for protection against EMI and signal loss. The build is heavier than a typical AUX cord: a 6.5mm diameter jacket, pure copper plug shells and a metal splitter where the signal divides to the two RCA legs.

The jacket is a resilient matte compound over PVC for shock absorption, with a tightly braided nylon outer layer for flexibility and abrasion resistance, plus internal cotton yarn for strain relief. The maker rates it to more than 15,000 bend cycles and calls it custom-built to pair with Douk Audio and Nobsound gear, while still working with other audio systems.

Choose this cable to feed a phone, tablet or PC into RCA inputs, or an RCA output into a 3.5mm input. Choose the AUX cable for 3.5mm-to-3.5mm links at a lower price and in more lengths, and the dual RCA cable when both devices have RCA jacks.

Shipping, returns and warranty

• Shipping: Douk Audio's current shipping page says orders are generally processed no later than the next business day and arrive in 2-8 business days, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted otherwise.
• Older shipping terms are still online: airmail at 10-25 days for parcels under 2 kg, DHL, UPS or FedEx at 5-8 days above that, and a line saying the store is not responsible for import duties. Check the delivery estimate and any duties at checkout.
• Returns: ask within 30 days of delivery and wait for approval before sending anything; an approved return has to ship within 7 days. Items need all packaging and accessories and no excessive wear, or the store can refuse them or refund part of the price. Refunds go to the original payment method after inspection.
• Not refunded: original and expedited shipping, duties, taxes and customs charges, unless the law requires it or the store made the error. The return page does not say who pays return postage, and the older refund page excludes mistaken orders and change-of-mind returns from free after-sale service.
• Warranty: 24 months from purchase for manufacturing defects, with free repair, a replacement unit and free shipping both ways for covered repairs. Drops, liquid, DIY repairs, lightning, extreme temperatures and misuse are excluded (partial fees may apply), and damage from weak packing on the way back may not be covered.
