Douk Audio 14AWG OFC Speaker Cable Review
A pre-terminated 14AWG speaker cable with gold-plated pure copper banana plugs at both ends, built from tin-plated 4N oxygen-free copper under a braided PVC jacket. Sold as a single run.

Our verdict
The Douk Audio 14AWG speaker cable takes the tedious part out of speaker wiring for $27.99: it arrives finished with gold-plated pure copper banana plugs, so it plugs straight into amp and speaker terminals. The 14 AWG 4N oxygen-free copper with a tin-plated surface and braided PVC jacket covers the audiophile basics, and lengths run from 0.5m to 5m. Remember each cable wires one speaker — order two for a stereo pair.
- Best for
- Wiring speakers to an amplifier without terminating bare wire yourself, with corrosion-resistant gold-plated banana plugs at both ends
- Skip if
- You plan to order one cable for a stereo pair — each cable handles a single speaker — or your terminals will not accept banana plugs
Why 3.6/5: Lifted by a stated 14 AWG gauge, 4N oxygen-free copper, eight lengths and pre-terminated plugs, from $27.99. Held back by a page that conflicts with itself on connector type and on how many cables one unit holds, and by claims with no figures.
The Douk Audio 14AWG Speaker Cable is a pre-terminated speaker wire priced at $27.99. Each cable carries a banana male plug at both ends, connecting speakers to amplifiers, A/V units and more without the hassle of cutting or fiddling with bare speaker wire.
The conductor is dual 14 AWG oxygen-free copper with a tin-plated surface, a combination the maker says delivers clarity, sonic accuracy and minimal signal distortion. The terminations are Yanornis gold-plated pure copper banana plugs with a lantern structure — corrosion-resistant, with a large contact area against the terminal, designed not to oxidize even after long use.
The jacket and insulating layer use imported plastic material for low signal attenuation and loss, a high transmission rate and oxidation resistance, finished with a PVC braided outer jacket that protects the cable while retaining the flexibility of ordinary speaker wire. Each compact cable is crafted to fit securely into compatible units while using little wall space.
One ordering detail matters: a single cable connects one speaker (positive and negative), so a stereo pair requires two cables — the maker states this directly in its warm tip. Also note the terminations: with banana male plugs at both ends, gear that cannot accept banana plugs needs adapters, and the available lengths top out at 5m.

How it compares
This is the lower-priced of the group's two terminated speaker cables up to its 2m option, from $27.99 for 0.5m; its 3m, 3.5m and 5m options ($49.99 to $71.99) cost more than the other one. The other is the Douk Audio Speaker Cable with Banana Plugs & Oxygen-Free Copper review ($39.99, $12.00 more; $44.99 for the Other destination), a pair at one length, 1.5m (5ft), with rhodium-plated beryllium copper plugs and 78-strand 2.5mm² conductors. At its own 1.5m option ($33.99) this cable is $6.00 less than that one ($11.00 less for the Other destination), but what one unit contains is unclear on this page (see below), so confirm it before comparing the cost per speaker pair.
Choose this cable if you need a length other than 1.5m, up to 5m, and a stated 14 AWG gauge; choose the other if a fixed 1.5m pair with named plug plating suits your setup. Both end in banana plugs, so neither suits gear that only takes bare wire or spades, and neither page gives a power or impedance rating.
Shipping, returns and warranty
- Shipping: Douk Audio's current shipping page says orders are generally processed no later than the next business day and arrive in 2-8 business days, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted otherwise.
- Older shipping terms are still online: airmail at 10-25 days for parcels under 2 kg, DHL, UPS or FedEx at 5-8 days above that, and a line saying the store is not responsible for import duties. Check the delivery estimate and any duties at checkout.
- Returns: ask within 30 days of delivery and wait for approval before sending anything; an approved return has to ship within 7 days. Items need all packaging and accessories and no excessive wear, or the store can refuse them or refund part of the price. Refunds go to the original payment method after inspection.
- Not refunded: original and expedited shipping, duties, taxes and customs charges, unless the law requires it or the store made the error. The return page does not say who pays return postage, and the older refund page excludes mistaken orders and change-of-mind returns from free after-sale service.
- Warranty: 24 months from purchase for manufacturing defects, with free repair, a replacement unit and free shipping both ways for covered repairs. Drops, liquid, DIY repairs, lightning, extreme temperatures and misuse are excluded (partial fees may apply), and damage from weak packing on the way back may not be covered. The older refund page still says 1 year.
- Seller: the site is run by Shenzhen Anba Technology Co., Ltd (Shenzhen, China) and HONGKONG LONGSHENG Import and Export Trading Co., Limited (Hong Kong); support is by email at [email protected]. These terms cover orders placed on doukaudio.com; other sellers apply their own.
For this product, the page offers Size (0.5m to 5.0m) and 'Shipping to' (US, UK, EU, AU, Other) choices and a note on quantity, and shows Free Shipping, 2-8 Days Arrival, 30-Day Return and 2-Year Warranty badges near the price.
What we liked
- Pre-terminated with banana plugs at both ends — no stripping, twisting or fiddling with bare wire
- Yanornis gold-plated pure copper plugs with a lantern structure resist corrosion and give a large contact area with terminals
- 14 AWG dual-conductor oxygen-free copper with a tin-plated surface provides clarity, sonic accuracy and minimal signal distortion
- The nylon-braided PVC jacket adds protection while keeping the cable flexible for neat routing
- Imported PVC jacket and insulating layer offer low signal attenuation, high transmission rate and oxidation resistance
Worth noting
- One cable connects one speaker — a stereo pair needs two cables, as the maker notes in the warm tip
- Both ends are banana male, so amplifiers or speakers that only take bare wire, spades or pins need adapters
- The longest option is 5m (16.4ft), which may be short for large rooms or long in-wall runs
Questions before you buy
How many cables do I need for a pair of speakers?
Two. The maker notes that 1PC can connect 1 speaker (positive and negative), so a pair of speakers requires buying 2PCS. The packing list shows 1 speaker cable per order, not a pair.
What are the cable and connector specs?
Dual conductor 14 AWG 4N oxygen-free copper with a tin-plated surface, terminated in gold-plated pure copper banana plugs with a lantern structure, under a nylon-braided PVC jacket with a polyethylene dielectric.
What lengths are available?
The listing covers lengths from 0.5m (1.64ft) through 0.75m, 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, 3.0m, 3.5m and 5.0m (16.40ft).
What are the shipping and warranty terms?
Douk Audio ships to nearly 200 countries from several warehouses; its shipping page lists 2-8 business days for delivery, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted. Its warranty page covers manufacturing defects for 24 months from purchase.

What we couldn’t verify
- $27.99 is the 0.5m option, and the page opens on it (each length costs the same for every destination). Other lengths: $29.99 (0.75m), $31.99 (1m), $33.99 (1.5m), $37.99 (2m), $49.99 (3m), $53.99 (3.5m) and $71.99 (5m).
- The review says one unit is one cable for one speaker, so a stereo pair needs two. The page text now says a quantity of 1 'means you will receive two pairs of cables, for use with one pair of speakers', and its packing list reads 'Speaker Cable (optional) x1'.
- The store's product data still says '1PC can connect 1 speaker (positive and negative), one pair speaker please buy 2PCS' and lists '1*Speaker Cable (Not Pair)'. The two disagree; ask the store what one unit contains before ordering one per speaker.
- The page's Parameters print 'Connector type: 3.5mm jack, male to male' for a banana-plug cable; the title, features and store data say banana plugs, so that line looks like a copy error.
- 'Clarity, sonic accuracy' and 'minimal signal distortion' are page claims for 4N copper; the page gives no resistance, capacitance or inductance figure and no power or impedance rating.
- The page calls the jacket 'high-temperature' without a temperature rating and gives no outer diameter.
