Douk Audio MX5 4-Channel Audio Mixer Review
A compact 4-channel line mixer with per-channel mono/stereo switching, individual volume knobs, and dual-color LED level meters, powered from DC5V.

Our verdict
The Douk Audio MX5 is a small 4-channel line mixer for combining multiple stereo or mono sources with independent level control and visual metering. At $64.99 it suits desktop setups juggling several playback devices into one amp or interface. You will need to supply your own DC5V adapter, and it is not a phono or microphone mixer.
- Best for
- Desktop listeners who need to combine several line-level sources into one output with independent per-channel level control.
- Skip if
- You need to mix turntable or microphone signals, or you don't have a spare DC5V power adapter.
Why 3.5/5: The page gives clear controls (per-channel mono/stereo, 6.35mm and 3.5mm jacks, meter settings) and a full parameter list. Held back by no SNR, THD or input-level figure, a Features line on power that its Warm tips contradict, and a price nearly double the MC5-BX's.
The Douk Audio MX5, at $64.99, is a compact 4-channel audio mixer for line-level sources: four groups of 6.35mm/3.5mm inputs feeding a single 6.35mm/3.5mm output, in an all-metal case with aluminum knobs.
Each of the four channels has an independent mono/stereo switch and its own volume knob, with a fifth main volume control, so CD players, computers, phones, and preamps can each be trimmed separately before the mix. The listing emphasizes that the channels do not interfere with one another. A built-in 16-bit stereo dual-color LED level meter displays output level in real time; its display mode, color, and gain are all adjustable.
Two operating quirks are stated plainly in the listing: the 3.5mm headphone output always takes priority and auto-disconnects the 6.35mm output when used, and the MX5 only accepts standard audio signals — it cannot connect phono turntables or microphones directly. The unit runs on DC5V, does not include a DC5V power adapter, and supports headphones of 16–200Ω with a 50kΩ input impedance. Gold-plated RCA terminals and the aluminum chassis are aimed at shielding and solid connections.

How it compares
At $64.99 the MX5 is the pricier of the group's two mixers. The Douk Audio MC5-BX costs $33.29, which is $31.70 less, and mixes four 3.5mm inputs into one 3.5mm output, with a passive mode that needs no power. The MX5 page lists 6.35mm and 3.5mm jacks on its inputs and its output, a mono/stereo switch on each channel, a 16-bit dual-color LED level meter and a 16-200Ω headphone impedance, in a 132 x 86mm footprint against 108 x 59mm. Both pages list an input impedance of 50kΩ, DC 5V at 0.5A or more over Type-C and no adapter in the box. The MX5 page lists no passive mode and describes the unit as powered by DC5V.
If you only need to switch between sources rather than blend them, the Douk Audio D5 at $109.99, which is $45.00 more than the MX5, lists four source inputs, a 5-band equalizer, a headphone amplifier and an analog VU meter, with a 5V/2A adapter in the box; its page says it has no volume control per channel and is not recommended as a mixer. Who it suits: the MX5 fits a desk that has to blend several line sources (a CD player, computer, phone or preamp) with per-channel level, mono/stereo control and a meter. Skip it if you need a published noise figure or a power supply in the box: the page gives no SNR or THD and lists no adapter.
Shipping, returns and warranty
- Shipping: Douk Audio's current shipping page says orders are generally processed no later than the next business day and arrive in 2-8 business days, with duties, taxes and customs fees included in the checkout price unless noted otherwise.
- Older shipping terms are still online: airmail at 10-25 days for parcels under 2 kg, DHL, UPS or FedEx at 5-8 days above that, and a line saying the store is not responsible for import duties. Check the delivery estimate and any duties at checkout.
- Returns: ask within 30 days of delivery and wait for approval before sending anything; an approved return has to ship within 7 days. Items need all packaging and accessories and no excessive wear, or the store can refuse them or refund part of the price. Refunds go to the original payment method after inspection.
- Not refunded: original and expedited shipping, duties, taxes and customs charges, unless the law requires it or the store made the error. The return page does not say who pays return postage, and the older refund page excludes mistaken orders and change-of-mind returns from free after-sale service.
- Warranty: 24 months from purchase for manufacturing defects, with free repair, a replacement unit and free shipping both ways for covered repairs. Drops, liquid, DIY repairs, lightning, extreme temperatures and misuse are excluded (partial fees may apply), and damage from weak packing on the way back may not be covered. The older refund page still says 1 year.
- Seller: the site is run by Shenzhen Anba Technology Co., Ltd (Shenzhen, China) and HONGKONG LONGSHENG Import and Export Trading Co., Limited (Hong Kong); support is by email at [email protected]. These terms cover orders placed on doukaudio.com; other sellers apply their own.
For this product, the page lists shipping to US, UK, EU, AU and Other and shows Free Shipping, 2-8 Days Arrival, 30-Day Return and 2-Year Warranty badges near the price.
What we liked
- Per-channel mono/stereo switches let you mix different signal types without extra adapters
- One master and four independent channel volume knobs, each isolated so adjusting one channel doesn't touch the others
- The 16-bit dual-color LED meters make output level visible, with adjustable display mode, color, and gain
- All-metal case with aluminum knobs and gold-plated RCA terminals for shielding and secure connections
Worth noting
- No DC5V power adapter is included — the listing explicitly says to supply your own
- It only takes standard line signals like CD/DVD players, phones, and preamps; phono turntables and microphones cannot connect directly
- The 3.5mm output takes priority — plugging into it automatically disconnects the 6.35mm output
Questions before you buy
Does the MX5 include a power supply?
No. It runs on DC5V and the listing states the adapter is not included, so you need to provide one.
Can I connect a turntable or microphone?
No. It only supports standard audio signals such as CD/DVD players, phones, and preamps; phono turntables and microphones need separate equipment before the mixer.
Why did one output stop working when I plugged in headphones?
The 3.5mm headphone jack has priority: connecting it automatically disconnects the 6.35mm output, as noted in the listing.
Can I mix mono and stereo sources together?
Yes. Each of the four channels has its own mono/stereo switch, so different signal types can be mixed side by side.

What we couldn’t verify
- Power: the Features say 'Powered by DC5V, no required for a separate power supply' (sic), but the packing list holds only the mixer and a Type-C USB cable and the Warm tips say 'Without DC5V power adapter, please prepare it yourself', as the review says.
- The page mentions 'gold-plated RCA terminals', but its Parameters list only 6.35mm and 3.5mm jacks for the inputs and the output, and no RCA.
- 'Ultra Low-Noise' (title) is a page claim: no SNR, THD, frequency response or maximum input level is listed.
- The LED meter is said to show the output level, but the page gives no dB scale or response figure, only 'display gain: level 1-6'.
- Warranty: the 2-Year Warranty badge is all this product page says about cover; exclusions are on the store's warranty page (see the shared section).
