Our verdict

Worth a look if you want a 16-inch folding e-bike at €549 with a rear rack and can work around a page that gives three weights, two batteries and two ranges. Look elsewhere if you need figures you can cross-check or a stated brake type: the outside reports describe 22-23 km/h cruising, a single gear and a throttle limit that one reviewer unlocked. The main caveat is that the spec list's 36V 10Ah, 22.5kg and 60km conflict with the header's 48V 7.5Ah, 29.6kg and 40km.

Why 3.4/5: Lifted by two outside reviews of this EU model and a page that lists motor, battery, weights, sizes and box contents; held back by the page contradicting itself on weight, battery, range and rider height, and by the store terms and reputation notes below.

Listed at €549, the C2 is a 16-inch folding e-bike with a magnesium alloy frame, 16 x 2.5-inch tires and a 250W motor. Its page is inconsistent: the spec list gives a 36V 10Ah battery, 22.5kg and a 60km assisted range, while the header gives 48V 7.5Ah, 29.6kg and 40km. Outside coverage of the EU C2 includes Youwin Blog, which reports about 40 km assisted, and a 330mm video, shot on a bike DYU supplied, whose host cruised at 22-23 km/h on a ride of about 10 km.

Options and pricing

One variant is listed: Blue with an EU plug at €549, in stock when the page was read, and the page shows a crossed-out price of €899. In the box the page lists the bike, an owner's manual, a charger with cable, two pedals, a multifunctional spanner and one battery, with no size given for that battery in the list. The page also describes an enlarged rear cargo rack and a height-adjustable seat.

How it compares

The DYU D3S 14-Inch Mini Folding Electric Bike is €499 with a 36V 10Ah battery and 19kg on its page, against the C2's €549 and a page that lists two batteries and three weights. The DYU T1 20-Inch Foldable Electric Bike is €699, a 20-inch folding bike with a magnesium frame, a torque sensor and 22.5kg; the C2's technical table lists a speed sensor, and the 330mm host said it seems to be a rotation sensor, not a torque sensor.

Shipping, returns and warranty

Where it sells: the shipping page names these EU countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden (Croatia appears twice); Germany is not on the list, and a cart test on 22 October 2026 returned no shipping rate for a German, UK, US, Swiss, Norwegian or Vietnamese address, while French, Spanish and Italian addresses got free delivery in an estimated 3 to 5 business days. Prices are in euros. Shipping: free over EUR 100, an estimated 3 to 5 business days, shipped within 2 working days from a Poland or German warehouse by FedEx, UPS or DPD (the FAQ page says 2 to 7 business days, and the Terms of Service say delivery 'may take up to 50 days'). Returns: the return page gives 30 days for a bike in its original packaging with under 10 km on the display; for a change of mind the buyer pays the return and EUR 200 per e-bike (EUR 100 per battery) is deducted, a defective bike is exchanged or refunded within 30 days, and cancelling before shipment costs 5%. The Terms of Service describe a 7-day dead-on-arrival rule, 10 days for faulty goods and 30 days for unopened items. Warranty: the warranty page gives one year from delivery for manufacturing defects: a replacement frame only (no labor), a battery repaired or replaced in year one and then a prorated credit, tires, brake pads and chains excluded, and claims by email to [email protected] with photos or video; product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner.

Before you buy

The page shows 4 customer reviews with 50% of them five-star in the store's own widget, which we could not verify. Reputation: Trustpilot lists dyucycle.com with a TrustScore of 3.7 from 209 reviews (60% five-star, 26% one-star), a profile claimed in June 2024 with a Dover, Delaware address, and says the company replies to negative reviews. Recent one-star reviews describe bikes cutting out while riding, requests for EUR 100 to 200 return fees, unanswered emails and, from a Dutch reviewer, a model that was not road legal in the Netherlands; we have not verified any of them. The registry shows dyucycle.com registered on 8 April 2021. The About page says DYU was founded in 2016 and sells in over 60 countries, which we could not confirm; the Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, while the contact page gives a Rotterdam office address. The page shows a crossed-out price of €899 next to its '60-Day Lowest Price Guarantee' banner; that is the store's own comparison figure.

What we liked

  • Magnesium alloy frame with 16 x 2.5-inch tires and a mid-mounted shock absorption system, per the page
  • A rear rack, a height-adjustable seat and an LED display for power, speed and mileage are listed
  • Full, expanded and foldable sizes are all given, and the page describes a 2-step fold
  • Front and rear dual disc brakes and a button throttle are listed
  • Two outside reviewers report figures for this EU model: about 40 km assisted (Youwin Blog, no log shown) and 22-23 km/h cruising (330mm)

Worth noting

  • The page gives three weights (22.5kg, 23.6 kg, 29.6kg), two batteries (36V 10Ah, 48V 7.5Ah) and two ranges (40km, 60km)
  • Youwin Blog reports a single gear, traditional mechanical disc brakes and a throttle it calls indispensable; the page does not name the brake type
  • Youwin Blog removed the factory 6 km/h throttle limit to reach 25 km/h; the page does not mention that limit, and its FAQ says the max speed setting cannot be changed
  • In the 330mm video the three assist levels felt identical and 25 km/h was hard to hold; the host called it really for strolling, not performance
  • The 330mm host notes that the frame must be opened to remove the battery; the page itself does not say whether the battery is removable

Questions before you buy

Which battery does the C2 have?

The page lists two. The spec list gives 36V 10Ah, while the header and technical table give 48V 7.5Ah, with a DC48V rating and a charging time of 4-5H. The box list names one battery without a size, so the page does not settle which one comes with the bike.

What rider height does the C2 list?

The product details give a recommended height of 5.24-6.39 FT and the FAQ gives 5'2-6'4; the page lists a max load of 120kg. The two height ranges are written in different formats and the page does not explain the difference. It says the seat is height-adjustable.

How is the C2 driven, and what did outside coverage find?

The page lists a 250W high speed motor, a speed sensor, a pure electric mode and a button throttle, with a max speed of 25 km/h that its FAQ says cannot be changed. The 330mm host, on a bike DYU supplied, found the three assist levels felt identical, and Youwin Blog reports a single gear.

Does DYU ship to my country?

The shipping page names 24 EU countries and prices are in euros. A cart test on 22 October 2026 gave free delivery in an estimated 3 to 5 business days for French, Spanish and Italian addresses and no shipping rate for German, UK, US, Swiss, Norwegian or Vietnamese addresses. Ask [email protected] before ordering from anywhere else.

What is the return window and what does it cost?

The return page gives 30 days for a bike in its original packaging with under 10 km on the display; for a change of mind you pay the return and EUR 200 per e-bike is deducted (EUR 100 per battery). The Terms of Service describe 7, 10 and 30-day rules, so get the terms that apply to your order in writing.

What warranty does a DYU bike carry?

The warranty page gives one year from delivery for manufacturing defects: a replacement frame only, a battery repaired or replaced in year one and then a prorated credit, and claims by email with photos or video. Product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner that the page does not explain.

What we couldn’t verify

  • The page gives three weights (29.6kg in the header and 'Bicycle Weight', 22.5kg in the spec list, 23.6 kg in the technical table), two batteries (48V 7.5Ah header and technical table, 36V 10Ah spec list) and two ranges (40km header, 60km spec list and FAQ).
  • Recommended rider height is 5.24-6.39 FT in the product details but 5'2-6'4 in the FAQ; the spec list's full and expanded sizes (885 x 445 x 875, 1520 x 541 x 1087 mm) differ from the technical table's foldable and expanded sizes (815 x 435 x 565, 1420 x 525 x 1080 mm).
  • The page names disc brakes without a type; Youwin Blog reports mechanical discs, while Phox Rides (no test data) says hydraulic. Youwin Blog unlocked a factory 6 km/h throttle limit that the page does not mention, and the FAQ says the max speed setting cannot be changed.
  • The store's pages disagree on returns: 30 days on the return page, and 7, 10 and 30-day rules in the Terms of Service; the return page deducts EUR 200 per e-bike for a change of mind.
  • Product pages show a '12-24 Months Warranty' banner while the warranty page gives one year for manufacturing defects.
