Sweaty Yeti Sauna Plus Review

The Sauna Plus is an 8 × 17 ft, 136 sq ft unit from Sweaty Yeti, the sauna brand of Irontown Modular in Spanish Fork, Utah (the seller is KEB Homes, LLC, doing business as Irontown Modular). It splits the building into a cedar sauna and a separate changing room, with a front deck for an optional outdoor shower. Sweaty Yeti pitches it at commercial settings, resorts and busy wellness spaces. Like the rest of the range, it arrives fully built rather than as a kit.

How many people the sauna seats depends on which Sweaty Yeti page you read: the model page says 6–8, while the order page and the April 2026 features sheet say 4–6. The brand's cutaway illustration shows a two-tier bench across the sauna's end wall and white walls in the changing room. The features sheet also lists an "upsized" sauna heater as an upgrade specific to this model, which the order page doesn't price — ask about both before you pay a deposit.

Construction matches the rest of the line: pressure-treated floor joists, 2 × 4 walls sheathed in OSB, fiberglass insulation rated R-13 in the walls and R-30 in the ceiling and floor, lifetime architectural shingles and fiber-cement board-and-batten siding. The sauna is lined in knotty cedar over a sealed floor with a drain, heated by a HUUM electric heater with the UKU controller that Sweaty Yeti's owner's manual describes (30–45 minutes to heat up). The roof carries 30 lb of snow per square foot as standard, and heavier loads can be engineered for high-snow areas.

The Sauna Plus starts at $46,400. The order page prices the upgrades: a metal roof ($1,100), metal siding ($1,400) or knotty cedar siding ($2,400), a hinged glass or keypad door ($275 or $545, one of them required with an outdoor shower), the shower from $1,773 to $5,164, window packages ($1,985 or $2,650), a slatted accent wall with LED light ($2,820), a cedar ceiling ($1,045), Bluetooth speakers ($1,809 or $3,618), a ceiling fan ($818), a mini-split for heating and cooling ($6,640), a cove heater ($1,429), colored LED lighting in the sauna ($2,210) and four infrared panels ($4,500). Placement on your pad is $250; a crane is quoted separately. The features sheet's older base price is $44,300.

Checkout takes a 10% deposit — $4,640 on the base price — by card or bank transfer. The contract makes it refundable for five days, wants the balance within ten days and holds construction until the unit is paid for or financed. It also lets Sweaty Yeti adjust the price if material or labor costs rise more than 5% during the build, and each change order costs $250. Expect about 60–90 days in the factory; the unit is then set in place in a day.

You're responsible for a level gravel or concrete pad, a 240 V circuit and, with a shower, a water supply (a garden hose works, or permanent lines). The order page and the owner's manual agree on 60 amps for this model, and the manual raises it to 80 amps with the mini-split. Delivery is included within 250 miles; elsewhere in the lower 48 it is quoted, and Alaska, Hawaii and Canada cost extra. Permits for the plumbing or electrical work, and any HOA approval, are up to you.

Financing is available through Nelnet Bank via Buildertrend ($3,500–$150,000, APRs from 9.49%, up to 15 years) or the GreenSky program, subject to credit. The transferable KEB Homes Limited Warranty covers materials and work, with terms available on request.
