Sweaty Yeti Sauna Max Review

The Sauna Max is Sweaty Yeti's largest sauna: an 8 × 17 ft, 136 sq ft building from Irontown Modular in Spanish Fork, Utah (sold by KEB Homes, LLC, doing business as Irontown Modular) whose interior is one cedar sauna for 8–12 people, with a front deck for an optional outdoor shower. Sweaty Yeti pitches it at homes, vacation rentals, boutique gyms and resort wellness areas. It is built complete in the factory and delivered as a finished structure.

The brand's cutaway illustration shows long two-tier benches down one side and two heaters on the floor. Sweaty Yeti's features sheet lists a HUUM steel electric heater "or equal" as standard, and its owner's manual describes the HUUM UKU controller and a normal heat-up of 30–45 minutes, so confirm the heater setup for this larger room in your contract. For hybrid heat, the order page offers eight carbon-fiber infrared panels for $9,000 — twice the panels and the price of the smaller saunas' option.

Construction follows the rest of the range: pressure-treated floor joists, OSB-sheathed 2 × 4 walls, fiberglass insulation (R-13 walls, R-30 ceiling and floor), a sealed floor with a drain, lifetime architectural shingles and fiber-cement board-and-batten siding in black or white. Inside, it is knotty cedar on the walls and ceiling over a clear-sealed wood-tile floor. The roof is rated for 30 lb of snow per square foot, and heavier loads can be engineered at extra cost.

The Sauna Max starts at $46,900. The order page lists the upgrades: a metal roof ($1,100), metal siding ($1,400) or knotty cedar siding ($2,400), a hinged glass or keypad door ($275 or $545, required with an outdoor shower), the outdoor shower from $1,773 unheated to $5,164 heated with a frost-free valve, window packages ($1,985 or $2,650), Bluetooth speakers ($1,809 or $3,618), colored LED lighting ($2,210) and the infrared panels. Placement on your pad costs $250, and a crane is quoted separately. The April 2026 features sheet shows an older base price of $44,700.

Power is where the sources disagree: the order page asks for a 75 amp connection, while the August 2026 owner's manual lists 70 amps for the Sauna Max. Either way it is the most of any Sweaty Yeti sauna, so have an electrician confirm the service with the company before you order. Beyond that you supply a level gravel or concrete pad and, only if you add the shower, a water supply.

Checkout takes a 10% deposit ($4,690 on the base price), refundable for five days under the contract, with the balance due within ten days and construction starting only after full payment or funded financing. A cost-escalation clause allows adjustments if materials or labor rise more than 5%, and change orders cost $250 each. The build takes about 60–90 days and the unit is set in place in a day. Delivery is included within 250 miles; elsewhere in the lower 48 it is quoted, and Alaska, Hawaii and Canada cost extra. Permits for the electrical work and any HOA approval are the buyer's job.

Financing is offered through Nelnet Bank via Buildertrend ($3,500–$150,000, APRs from 9.49%, up to 15 years) and the GreenSky program, subject to credit, and the transferable KEB Homes Limited Warranty covers materials and work, with terms on request. Within the range, the Sauna Plus ($46,400) trades part of the room for a changing room, the Sauna Plunge ($51,700) for a cold plunge room, and the 8 × 9 ft Sauna seats 4–6 for $29,700.
