Sweaty Yeti Sauna Plus Barrel Plunge Review

The Sauna Plus Barrel Plunge is the top of Sweaty Yeti's range: an 8 × 17 ft, 136 sq ft building from Irontown Modular in Spanish Fork, Utah (the seller is KEB Homes, LLC, doing business as Irontown Modular) with a cedar sauna, a separate room with a barrel-style cold plunge tub, and a front deck for an optional outdoor shower. Sweaty Yeti says it is designed for residential and commercial settings. It is built complete in the factory and delivered as a finished structure.

The plunge is what sets it apart. Sweaty Yeti's features sheet lists a barrel cold plunge tub for the Sauna Plus models, and its July 2026 photos (above) show a wooden barrel tub with a chiller unit beside it, in a cedar-lined room with a large window — an upgraded unit: the order page lists the cedar ceiling and the window packages as options. The same sheet lists "cold+heat" for the barrel tub as a $364 add-on, which the order page doesn't show, and Sweaty Yeti's owner's manual describes its cold plunge system as made by Plunge without naming the barrel tub, so ask which equipment and chiller function come with your unit.

The sauna's size is the other open question: the model page says 6–8 people, while the order page and the April 2026 features sheet say 4–6. It is heated by a HUUM electric heater with the UKU controller described in the owner's manual (30–45 minutes to heat up), and four carbon-fiber infrared panels are a $4,500 option. The shell matches the rest of the line: pressure-treated floor joists, OSB-sheathed 2 × 4 walls, R-13 wall and R-30 ceiling and floor insulation, a sealed floor with drains, lifetime architectural shingles, fiber-cement board-and-batten siding and a roof rated for 30 lb of snow per square foot.

The Sauna Plus Barrel Plunge starts at $55,200. The order page prices a metal roof ($1,100), metal siding ($1,400) or knotty cedar siding ($2,400), a hinged glass or keypad door ($275 or $545, required with the outdoor shower), the shower from $1,773 unheated to $5,164 heated with a frost-free valve, window packages ($1,985 or $2,650), a slatted accent wall with LED light ($2,820), a cedar ceiling ($1,045), Bluetooth speakers ($1,809 or $3,618), a ceiling fan ($818), a mini-split for heating and cooling ($6,640), a cove heater ($1,430), colored LED lighting in the sauna ($2,210) and the infrared panels. Placement on your pad is $250, and a crane is quoted separately. The April 2026 features sheet shows an older $52,600 base price.

You prepare a level gravel or concrete pad, a water supply for the tub (a garden hose or permanent lines) and a 240 V circuit. The order page says 60 amps, but the August 2026 owner's manual groups this model with the Sauna Plunge at 70 amps, or 80 with the mini-split, so have your electrician confirm with Sweaty Yeti. In freezing climates, the manual says to winterize the plumbing and drain the plunge whenever the unit won't have continuous heat or year-round use. Permits and HOA approval are the buyer's job.

Checkout takes a 10% deposit ($5,520 on the base price), refundable for five days under the contract, with the balance due within ten days and construction after full payment or funded financing; prices can be adjusted if materials or labor rise more than 5%, and change orders cost $250. The build takes about 60–90 days and the unit is set in place in a day. Delivery is included within 250 miles, quoted elsewhere in the lower 48, and extra for Alaska, Hawaii and Canada. Financing runs through Nelnet Bank via Buildertrend or GreenSky, subject to credit, and the transferable KEB Homes Limited Warranty's terms are available on request.

Within the range, the Sauna Plunge ($51,700) pairs a sauna with a plunge room and a standard tub, the Sauna Plus ($46,400) has a changing room instead of a plunge, and the Plunge Max ($44,400) is a plunge room with no sauna.
