Sweaty Yeti Sauna Review

The Sweaty Yeti Sauna is the smallest unit from Sweaty Yeti, the sauna brand of Irontown Modular, a modular building company in Spanish Fork, Utah; Sweaty Yeti's terms name the seller as KEB Homes, LLC, doing business as Irontown Modular. It is an 8 × 9 ft building with a 4–6 person cedar sauna — 48 sq ft of sauna floor — and a front deck where an optional outdoor shower goes. Like the rest of the range, it is built complete in a factory and arrives as a finished structure, not a kit.

Sweaty Yeti's features sheet lists pressure-treated floor joists 24 inches apart, 2 × 4 walls sheathed in OSB, fiberglass insulation (R-13 walls, R-30 ceiling and floor), a sealed floor with a drain, lifetime architectural asphalt shingles and fiber-cement board-and-batten siding in black or white. The sauna is lined in knotty cedar over a clear-sealed wood-tile floor, and the roof is rated for 30 lb of snow per square foot, with heavier loads engineered on request. The sheet also reserves the right to substitute comparable materials without notice.

Heat comes from a HUUM electric heater run by HUUM's UKU digital controller, according to Sweaty Yeti's owner's manual, which calls a 30–45 minute heat-up normal; the features sheet adds "or equal" after the heater, so confirm the model in your contract. Four carbon-fiber infrared panels are a $4,500 upgrade for traditional and infrared heat, used separately or together.

The Sauna starts at $29,700 with black shingles, board-and-batten siding and a black-framed sliding glass door. The order page prices the rest: a metal roof ($705), metal siding ($925) or knotty cedar siding ($1,800), a hinged glass door ($275) or a keypad door ($545) — one of which is required with the outdoor shower — the shower itself from $1,773 unheated to $5,164 heated with a frost-free valve, a side window ($1,230), Bluetooth speakers ($1,809), colored LED lighting ($2,210) and the infrared panels. Placement on your pad with a jack system is $250; a crane, if your site needs one, is quoted separately. The April 2026 features sheet still shows a $28,300 base price, so go by the order page.

You order online with a 10% deposit — $2,970 on the base price. Sweaty Yeti's contract makes the deposit refundable for five days, asks for the balance within ten days and starts building only once the unit is paid for or financing has funded. It also allows "reasonable adjustments" if material or labor costs rise more than 5% during the build, and each change order costs $250. The FAQ puts the build at about 60–90 days, after which the unit is set in place in a day.

Delivery within 250 miles is included; elsewhere in the lower 48 states it is quoted, and Alaska, Hawaii and Canada cost extra. You prepare a level gravel or concrete pad and a 240 V circuit: the owner's manual lists 60 amps for this model, while the order page gives no figure except for the heated shower, which it says needs a 60 amp connection — have your electrician confirm with Sweaty Yeti. Water is needed only if you add the shower. Sweaty Yeti says the unit itself usually doesn't need a building permit, but the electrical and plumbing work may, and permits and HOA approval are the buyer's job.

Financing runs through Nelnet Bank via Buildertrend (loans of $3,500 to $150,000, APRs from 9.49%, terms up to 15 years) or the GreenSky program, subject to credit. Materials and work are covered by the transferable KEB Homes Limited Warranty, whose terms are available on request. Within the range, the Sauna Plunge adds a cold plunge room for $51,700 and the Sauna Max seats 8–12 for $46,900; outside it, a cabin sauna kit such as Dundalk LeisureCraft's Georgian costs $7,616 at Sauna Kit Company, but you assemble it yourself.
